We already covered that. People aren't trying to be big shots, that's just how some people have fun.

People have been putting their hands up on coasters for years on end. Some people like to sit back, relax, and let the forces just take control; others hold on for dear life and scream, and then people put their hands up and have fun. Not showing off, just one way of having fun.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Yes on that turn on magnum u can hit your hands on the support have i tried it no but if i wanted to i could, but im not stupid.

On MF it always looks like u can hit the supports by the turn around.
MS is easy to touch the side ledge you can probally answer the telephone.

Funny story that someone on the MS crew told me - a couple of years ago, the ride stopped in the Mid Course, and someone picked up the phone and told whoever answered that the ride was stuck.

I don't know how true it is, because I don't know how those phones work, or if you could even reach it, but just picture it happening for a nice chuckle :)

It would work, all the phones in each ride area excluding entrance connect directly to the operators booth when picked up if I remember correctly.

Question is... can you reach the phone? I think you can but I've never tried

What part of the ride are these phones located?

Right next to the mid-course brakes.

I'm 6'6" with long arms and I've never had a problem, although that one dip on Gemini still worries me. However, I put my arms up for fun on the larger hills and to be honest, have never intentionally reached for a piece of track...

If you can reach the other train on Gemini, you could most likely reach the railing on the side of the track, couldn't you?

I don't think a park should intentionally push the limits on Head-Choppers, IMO it takes the fun out of putting your hands up, But If it's there to be a "OMFG" moment, then okay, but when you're hand is actually chopped off, that's not cool.

Like when I rode Milly-ennium for the first time I had my hands up the entire time, because of two reasons: 1, I wanted to put my hands up 2, I sorta trusted Intamin to make the 'close calls' not close enough.

The only rides at CP that make me go, "OMFG" are Maggies tunnels, Gemini's Crossovers, and Dragsters spiral... but not enough to make me put my hands down.

I've never really noticed close calls on any other ride, because either my hands arn't up or I'm not paying attention...

I have never tried this on Gemini, but can you easily touch peoples hands on the other train? If you can, I wonder if you could posibly hold on get get your arm ripped off.

(Just a thought from my very cerious mind ;) )

Yes, you can hand smack on Gemini. It's an old tradition!

No, nobody has ever been handcuffed together and had their arms ripped off. That's a good rumor that pops up now and then.

I am 6'7" with an arm span of nearly 6' 5". I know that IF i were ever to try and smack my hand that I could on these rides: Magnum (turn next to second hill), Meanstreak (sids, and insides when track hoes by), and DEFINATLY CCMR because I duck for that one cause I almost think my head is going to hit and it scares me. If you want me too I can try to touch some of these spots... Ill wear a glove :)
