What do you mean "saving their money?" They don't buy rides with cash, they buy them on credit.

There are these things called loans. There are also these things called lines of credit. Oh, and IOUs.

How do IOUs work? I understand everything else you said, but how do IOU's work? Also when should we start seeing pictures on Geauga Lakes website for construction on Phase II? I want to see some action again! I really enjoyed WildWater Kingdom and want to see more of it next year.

The bank gives you money, you give htem an IOU. You tell the bank "I'm going to make this much on this investment" and the bank says OK.

Or in the case of a publicly traded company, its shares of stock.

According to the Aurora City Meeting CF was approved to build the Wavepool. But I think there were more, but they're not going to post the minutes until after our announcement. So I guess we'll have to wait to see whats really going in there.

Hey is Geauga Lake showing off-season construction like they did in Phase I? I enjoyed following the progress of Wild Water Kingdom and want to do it again this year.

From what I'm looking at, there looks to be way more than a wave pool...http://wwk.geaugalake.com/public/rendering.cfm

Any idea when they will make an announcement on what to expect in WWK for the 2006 season?

Hopefully it's sometime before Thanksgiving, I mean every other Cedar Fair park has announced their new ride/attraction for 06 so It makes me wonder if they're still planning stuff.

Looks like I was right about the wave pool.

It's to bad that it seems that the plans have been scaled back to just a wavepool.

What happened to the "multitude of tube and body slides," or the "adult swim up bar?" I really thought WWK was small last year, but it didn't matter because we were supposedly getting such great stuff for '06. Pretty dissapointing......

Well, I just cancelled my plans to revisit Geauga Lake next year. I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the new water park, but I'm not going just to see another wave pool...

Im mad about this. I was really looking forward to Phase 2. I was looking forward to all the new body slides. I just hope the 10 million they saved is going to something else.

No, Cedar Point doesn't have one, Soak City has one.

Besides the wave pool that is currently on the geauga lake side of the park, wasn't there another wave pool at geauga lake before six flags took over? Also, Does anyone know the stats on these previous wave pools?

I don't understand the logic of cutting out the swim up bar. Soak City's bar sells so much liquor they have three bartenders working their butts off on a nice day. Looks to be a nice money maker at CP, why would they give that up at GL?

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
