FUN is up 2.9% YTD not including the distribution. I am wondering whether the distribution should be included in the total return as 80% of it is treated as return of capital thus reducing the cost basis.

In any event it may take a couple years before the GL purchase is accretive. I am surprised that the secondary offering did not affect the unit price more than it did.

Oh my. That pic of the stadium makes me the saddest. I have so many memories of Shamu that came from sitting in that very same section of the splash zone:( *** Edited 12/7/2004 5:53:26 PM UTC by Rihard 2000***

And, the speculation on if the buffet restaurant will be back can end also.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

More construction pictures have been posted on 1/3/05. Ten of them to be exact. There sure is a lot of deconstruction going on in the park, but at least its for a good reason ;).

Does anyone think that they might keep or bring back some of the original geauga lake and seaworld things that many people have had great times on?

I have to admit that seeing the stadiums come down is a little sad, as those probably constitute the majority of my memories from the old Sea World.

^ same here, in fact the water ski stadium and Shamu Stadium are the only two memories I had left of Sea World Ohio. It's really sad to just see them ripped apart by backhoes and bulldozers, they could have been put to some other use.

I disagree. They weren't of much use. I miss what used to take place there, and that's never going to happen again.

The park could have definately used at least one of the old stadiums as a concert venue. Obviuosly it would have required some modifications. But I think that there is definately a place in the CLeveland market for a mid sized summer venue.
