I kind of like it, makes it look like a brand new coaster.
Although the old colors "fit" better.

Raptor, rules the sky!

Its not even that great of a ride, so don't worry about what color it is...

So, there's only three people including me who like the new paint job. It's something different and the new colors are loud and bring more attention to the ride.

Actually, from what I have read here, paint does affect the quality of a ride. When Raptor was repainted, it became faster due to a speed paint that was applied. Don't know where that old thread is though.

I think actually Iron Dragon has become a little faster this year. I also agree with Gomez on this topic. I'll tell you what, I think these new colors really make Mantis look good as far as the coaster in the background.

It wasn't a "speed" paint that was applied to raptor. By painting the rails they get made smoother, usually also caused by the rails being sanded to remove debris/old paint. Making it smoother reduces friction. Reducing friction increases speed. I do remember the first hill on Dragon getting my stomach though, and it did seem a little bit faster than I remember.

I have no problem with it...

If you don't like it, close your eyes, ignore it or don't go to the park so I have one less person to wade through. I mean come on it is just a paint job....

Lemme guess ya don't like Wildcat either...And dragster is probably too "loud" I won't even ask about Mantis....

The paint doesn't concern me. Having to remove the trees around the ride to build Dragster has however severely damaged the ride's "feel," which took the better part of ten years to grow in the first place. It doesn't feel as fast without the trees in close proximity.

I hate when anything changes! Everything CP changes automatically sucks! I will never ride any ride that has been repainted, renamed, moved, etc., etc., etc.!

As I said elsewhere, both me and the person that was with me agreed the new paint scheme makes it look like there's a Mexican Restaurant (Chi Chi's comes to mind most) sitting there from a distance. I've started calling it the Chi-Chi-Mon (which is probably still a step up from it's unofficial nickname, the Dragging Iron).

I can't help but compare Iron Dragon to Top Gun (best suspended I I've been on, but too short) and Big Bad Wolf (not quite the thrill of Top Gun, but much longer and has that nice village bit and the trip down the hill) every time I ride it, though. It makes me wish they' rip it out and build a better version.

Are those three the only suspended coasters? You mentioned Iron Dragon, Big Bad Wolf and Top Gun. Is there any more with that type of style?

I'm sure there are. Those are just the three I'm familiar with.

The paint just takes time to get used to. All of you people who say you don't like it now will eventually get used to it and not think anything of it. If it was originally painted like this no one would be complaining.

Orange is a loud color no matter how often you see it. I happen to like it.

I actually made the mistake of walking up to the line the other day where I planned to order a taco until I finally realized I was in line for the Iron Dragon. :)

ok....I think you have beat the Chi-Chi-Mon thing into the ground already. I haven't seen anyone respond laughing at your new "nickname". So why do you keep working off of the same joke. Give it a rest. If no one has said "hey thats funny PacDude" by now, noone probably will
