What are the good stores to buy:

1. Reasonably Priced DVDs

2. Video Games and Accessories

3. Stereo Equipment

4. Cheap food for making your own meals

Is there a Hot Topic and a Pacific Sunwear in Sandusky?

Are there cheap vending machines for employees to get bottled water and soft drinks and snacks from in the park?

Meijer's has a lot of low cost stuff, so a majority of what you have on your list could be bought there, and it's open 24 hours, which is a major plus! That's where I usually got everything I needed! :) I'm pretty sure there's both a Hot Topic and Pac Sun in the Sandusky mall, I only went there a few times, so I'm not 100% sure. There are employee break area's where they have low-cost vending machines. Cans of pop are like 35 cents, chips I think are 45 or 55 cents. The employee cafeteria also has relatively cheap food and bottled beverages.

stardoors is right, there is a Hot Topic and Pac Sun at the mall. Also right about the employee snacks:) Cheap food is always fun!

One thing Sandusky does not have that I wish they did was a Best Buy, I think the nearest one is in Elyria, but I could be mistaken.

I've never been to a Best Buy. There isn't one in Charleston, WV. I wish there was. I see them advertised on TV and they look great.

Correct 99er.. Nearest one is in Elyria. DVD's, as a rule, are expensive in Sandusky. Of course I'm comparing the prices there to those of Best Buy or Media Play here in Toledo.

I do agree with you on that one Rob DVD's are expensive here (although Meijer usually has some good deals on DVDs) As stated before there is both a Pacific Sun and Hot Topic in the mall and as for cheap food we find ourselves back at Meijer (unless you want cheap, generic brands then we have Aldi's). Cd's here are really expensive (Friggin' Sam Goody).Just be sure to Budget your paychecks if you want to get the most out of them.

There are two questions I hope you never have to ask:
1.Where am I going?
2.And why am I in this handbasket?

The Wal-Mart in Sandusky is more than doubling in size with the addition of a grocery store. I don't know what the size is, but it looks bigger than Meijer. I think it's supposed to be open before May.

There is also a new shopping area scheduled to go up next to Sports City. The project is currently being held up by some archeological find, though I'm sure they'll work around it. The anchor will be a Home Depot, but another large store is marked as an "electronics store". It was implied to me that the store would be of the Best Buy / CompUSA / Circuit City variety.

I hope it's a Best Buy. I heard about the "delay" for that complex. Doesn't surprise me that they haven't gotten around it yet.

There is a dollar store in Sandusky, too (I forget where exactly it's located but I've seen it before), and there should be a K-Mart across the parking lot from the mall (unless it has closed since last summer due to K-Mart's bankruptcy problems).

There is a dollar store on route 6, right after the intersection where route 6 makes a sharp right turn going west (don't remember the street).

Walt is right, the Wal-Mart Supercenter is the way to go, especially when it comes to DVDs in Sandusky.

I hate that friggin Meijer, one register open when virtually all the CP employees are there. And the store layout is so goofy. Anyway, you'll be able to find me at the Supercenter. Damn I love Wal-Mart :-)

Problem with Wal-Mart is that they don't carry certain DVD's because of thier "family values" policy (yet they'll sell guns) and alot of the Indie DVD's and such that I like they just won't carry.

I think the best store in the Sandusky Mall is the TJ Maxx, but I'm a big bargain shopper so I appreciate things like that. ^_^ It's a pretty decent mall, but not the best I've been to by far (we have a two-story one here in Grand Rapids called Rivertown that's incredible!)

Don't forget the local Staples (right behind -- mmm -- Fazoli's). I love office supply stores...lead me to the aisle of colored pens!!

Is the Wal-Mart Supercenter going to be open 24 hours a day? I thought last summer it closed at like 10pm.

Lee - you're an RA, I think it's in the job description to love office supplies and colored pens...;) I always have to buy new gel pens whenever I go out...(I'm an RA also...:))

Brian - I think the closest Target is also in Elyria, I know there's not on in Sandusky (unless I missed it!)
