Not only am I an RA, I'm also an English major...no wonder I love colored pens!!! Anyone who wants to peruse the aisles of Staples with me is welcome to come...I can never have too many writing implements...

And by the way, it's "pop," unless it's Diet Pepsi, which should always be referred to as the Sacred Provider of Caffiene -- tastes great, too, especially during 10 am classes. Jones Soda can be referred to as "soda" if you're saying the brand name, but Jones Soda is pop as well.

The only pop that is soda is Italian soda...my favorite coffeehouse beverage...oh, yummy! (Hope I cleared that up for ya! ^_~ )

*sigh* i've said it before and i'll say it again... pop is a sound.. pop goes the weasel.. pop is a musical genre best associated with Nsync and britney spears. however, it is not a carbonated beverage. what else do you call soda? can you call anything else soda? unless you insert baking in front of it. man.. i think i need to find another department other than foods. could you imagine a confrontation between myself and a "pop" order?? it would be horrible! lol. nah, just kidding. if you're around me just say soda. :-D

I think the best store in the Sandusky Mall is the TJ Maxx, but I'm a big bargain shopper so I appreciate things like that. ^_^ It's a pretty decent mall, but not the best I've been to by far (we have a two-story one here in Grand Rapids called Rivertown that's incredible!)

The best part about the rivertown crossings mall is the movie theater. The arm rests flip up so you can lay down, I think you get the picture. :)

I've been in the soda/pop argument for many years and there is one solution, don't call it soda around me.

As for the pop/soda argument, it just depends on where you are from sometimes. I remember the first time I heard anyone call it soda. He was from Pennsylvania. Alot of people from the New England area call it soda. They also call shoes Sneakers and say things like WICKED AWESOME. People just talk different based on where they are from. Around here just about any soft drink is called Coke.

Tyler -- Yes, I love Jones Soda! I don't think there's a flavor that I wouldn't try. At school I buy the ones with the pictures that I like and then line them up on the windowsill for a decoration. I haven't actually tried to buy it in Sandusky; a lot of the time, you can only find it at gas stations and such. Does Wal-mart carry it?

Steel Monsters -- I didn't want to think about that. I'm bringing a trash bag to shield me from the contaminated seat cushions the next time I see a movie at Rivertown. ^_~

Where is a good place to rent DVDs? I have a $187 dollar late fee at Blockbuster (long story) so I hope there is an alternative)

Also, is anyone into ripping DVDs into Divx like me? I have a large collection that I wouldn't mind trading with people. The computer I am bringing will be able to rip DVDs once I get a new DVD drive for it. I will rip everything I rent. Im a total movie buff. That is the end of my story.

Dude I think I just found my new best friend. DVDs. Mmmm.

Oh my. . .NBC's Must See TV Thursday was absolutely amazing. . . I am speechless!

"Soda" is an additive in "pop" that gives it it's "pop". Don't agree? Grab a can of Coka-Cola, Shake it for about 5 minutes, then open it quickly.

POP!!!!

Make sure the opening is pointed at your face or at the face of a very understanding friend. ^_~

Sandusky's K mart is most likely gone and their Foodtown is closing as well.
Ripping DVDs is old school. I just copy them now to blank DVD media. The blank DVDs cost like a dollar a piece but its still a good deal when you want a movie.

True, it would be better to just burn them to DVD, but I dont have a DVD burner. Also, when you copy as many movies as I do, it could get very expensive to do it your way. Another reason divx is a plus is that you can share them with other people online much easier because of the compact size. If everyone started doing it your way, it would become very difficult to find movies for "free". I doubt I would spend the money to copy dvd's even if I did have a DVD RAM drive. To each his own.

Anyone who happens to be that enthralled by the whole pop vs. soda debate can checkout http://popvssoda.com Some guy at a university did a study on where people call it what. Funny how down south everything is "Coke", even Pepsi or Mountain Dew!

Personally I think the words pop and coke should be outlawed. Isn't coke also the name of an illegal drug? And isn't pop something bad too? lol. Just Kidding. That is true about the coke thing in reference to any brand name. If they are ordering a Sprite they'll call it a coke. (They are both products of Coca-Cola... not sure if that's why, doubtful.) How did you get such a high fee from blockbuster?? I'm so ready for this summer. Each day that passes I get a little more excited! I just have to send back this contract and I don't know how to fill out the tax form. lol. hope i don't lose my position!
oh yeah.. about the map thing. how did they find that one person two feet from the north pole in alaska? lol. is that santa claus?? it seems like i'm going to the center of the hotbed of popdom. eek.
