Hey anyone who is gonna be working on Snake River Falls
talk to me. I'm gonna be there...oh yeah my question...do we do a ride test before the day? It seems to me to be a no, due to the large water fall.

Snake River was a fun ride to work, I agree with that..but day after day it gets old..Lots of bloody noses, lots of complaints that they can't leave anything on the platform, i have plenty more hehe.. and it's not busy all summer just during the hot days..

Snake was an interesting ride to work. I only worked it for 5 days but I got to experience pretty much everything. The ride is extremely simple from an operations standpoint. The hardest part is dealing with the people's complaints. You'll get used to "Why can't we come up there?" and "Why can't I leave this here?" ;) Sitting up in chute is the best part in my opinion. You get to sit up there for at least 30 minutes by yourself, and as long as nothing goes wrong, you can just relax. I'd say the eye candy is nice but along with all the good comes the very, very bad. The ride is pretty fun to work. Test rides and skimming are sweet! Hopefully you'll enjoy it! One last thing...watch out for your ATL...he's a crazy one! ;)

A few years ago, while riding Snake River, a woman was on the boat that had a, to put it nicely, very small bathing suit on. For some reason the suit rubbed the ride host the wrong way, and the small cat fight that erupted when she made a comment about the guest's suit was great entertainment. The ride host came just short of calling the woman a whore, but the guest called the host a b*tch a few times. I don't know if this incident ever got to management, but the spectacle was as good as anything produced by the live E. department!

hm...sounds pretty funny...though if i saw some chic in a skimpy swim suit i don't think i'd make a rude comment. i think i'd just sit back and enjoy the stitchwork...of..the suit...yeah... ;)

Yes, there were many wonderful examples of eye candy while working at snake. On a hot day, especially. I remember Arnie's facination with that one (every) oriental chick. One thing I liked best about Snake was that the ride didn't open until 11, so you get to sleep in an hour after most ride op folks. The walk to the back of the park isn't fun, tho. Just get yourself a motorcycle and that should solve any parking problems. Another bad thing about the ride is that sometimes it seemed to go down about 17,946 times every day. ( High water again... yippee.... Oh, no... boat 4 stopped in the chute again...) Fun times...

i'll keep that in mind...wait...we don't start until 11??? are you serious? sweet...you're not lying are you...because if you are, i just don't know what would happen in your sleep this summer....(insert evil smiley here)

Nope CJ650S isn't lying. Snake opens at 11am and crew have to be there at 10:30am.. Same goes for Thunder Canyon..

That is unless you have to skim (SRF) or pit clean (TC). You have to come in an hour early for that. It's really not that bad except TC's pit cleaning can get a little messy and stinky. You'll find dead animals at both rides though! The ducks liked getting in front of the Snake boats and the fish got sucked into TC's flume constantly. It's a lot of fun! ;)
