Who cares. It lost that title a couple of months after it opened when Steel Dragon opened at Nagashima Spaland. It doesn't make the ride any less enjoyable.

It's not like Millennium Force is shrinking.... it's the same ride. Gemini hasn't been the tallest for years, and it's one of my favorite coasters.

Steel Dragon is lame,it can't even be compared to Millie in my opinion. SD is a kiddie ride,MF is a beast. As for #16,it may be taller and a little faster, but MF is still #1 with me. At least until I try #16 that is.

Oh, and you've been on it? I have some friends who have and they'd beg to differ.

I think SD2K has an amazing layout. I drool when I look at pictures of it. To me it looks like a super sized Magnum, something that MF is NOT(which I'm glad about). I bet all those bunny hills at the end rock! No I haven't rode it, but all my friends and family know where to find me if I hit the lotto.

The height, the title, the view...none of it matters when it comes down to one thing. Millennium Force just gives you this amazing feeling. There's a certain aura about it that you couldnt imagine capturing anywhere else. It has that special something that guaruntees happiness for each and every person that pulls down that yellow lap bar. That's the title that could never be taken away.

(That was beautiful)

Millennium Force and #16 are completly different rides. You can actually enjoy the view for a little bit before going down. On #16 you're only be up there for less than 3 seconds and then you'll be rocketing back down. So MF will still be big just not as big as #16.

I love the MF because of the trains and the open view ride they impart. Great job on that ride!

Although I have never ridden SD2K and probably never will - I'd like to give it a try, I'm sure I'd enjoy it. However, I don't think it offers everything that MF does. I can't really imagine it being that smooth either. It is, for simplicity sake, a big Magnum which is not a smooth ride at all and quite bumpy.

To get back on topic, I don't think that #16 being the tallest coaster in this park will hurt MF any. I will love MF the same and it will probably remain undoubtedly my fav - as I'm sure it will to many others. I do wonder however what the impact initially it will have on MF's lines on the busy days. Hopefully it will make them shorter. ;)

I completely agree with you. The title that it has isn't about its height, view, or speed...it's that it is Millennium Force.

The Millenium will always be my #1! I think its still going to be a better ride than the #16. It does so much more!

MF is great! Everytime I ride it for the first time of the day I get that rush, you know, the one you get where your whole body tingles. I only get this rush on MF but, I could get it on #16 only time will tell.

Do you think we'll feel the same w/ # 16 about the rush and the feeling? Probably only for a couple of seconds, not 2:45
