As for SD2k being "bumpy" the other morgan Hypers are smooth as glass, I cannot see how it woudl be any different.

MF probably won't be empty, because when adults see how long the line is for the new one they will go to MF for the shortness.

I'm sure this is going to attract A LOT of tourism, just like how Millie did. Because of this, more tourism = longer lines (duh!). So here's the question:
How many people in the GP know about this ride? Probably not too many outside of we've been telling them (it's impossible to keep secrets :(). So after the announcement, how many people will actually care? Mostly the GP teens, that want the most daring thrill of all, but to keep it as a minor hobby.
Another thing: Little kids. They don't like/are not tall enough to ride the big coasters yet. That's why the edition of kiddy rides/attractions seem to minimize the flow of people rushing to the coasters, because more people come with their entire families. Look at 2002. Wicked Twister was built, but wait, what else? That kiddie attraction we don't care about, Snoopy Rocks! On Ice. Now you see that Snoopy was far away from Wicked Twister, thus attracting several people to that Midway, keeping the line for Wicked Twister smooth.
I hope that for 2003 there will be a kiddie attraction that will leave the line for #16 running smoothly, and attract more people to where it is (possibly Frontiertown?).
Well, I've said a mouthful!

Enough to keep the lines long from May until October. That you can count on!

That's not true. The more rides there are the shorter the lines are overall. Anyone remember Magnum's line in the early 90's? It's shorter now not because it's less popular, it's still giving as many rides, it's shorter because there are more rides so the crowds are more spread out. The new ride will do this even more.

Roller coasters can only move so many people in any given hour, at cedar point they get very close to that number. The difference in lines is how much your willing to wait. If all the waits in the park were the same, which ride would you be willing to wait for more? For most people, they would wait for the bigger, taller, faster, and newer coaster over one they have rode many times before, and in some cases less intense.
Capacity is another reason. Magnum has a capcity of about 2000 PPH, raptor has a capacity about 1800 PPH and MF has a capacity of about 1600 PPH. The lines of these coaster the year they opened were about the same.
Over the last 20 years, the combined capacity of rides has grown faster than the number of people coming to the park. The lines for the newer coasters may be the same, but the number of people in line for the other rides had decreaced. Most of the people that come to the park want to ride the newset thrill in the park, but they pass on rides they don't particularly like simply because there spending the time waiting in line for the new ride. There are so many other rides in the park that it's impossible to fill them all.
Don't worry, MF will fall victim to in the next 5 years.

Anyway, the part of my last post that Jeff quoted was simply saying that the more people in the park that like roller coasters are going to fill up the lines. That's why I want there to be a kiddie attraction put in so it will attract more tourism to families so I can see Camp Snoopy busy from the top of #16.
I would like to see a kiddy ride/attraction in Frontiertown. I don't see too many little kids in that area except when they're on their way to/from Camp Snoopy or the petting zoo. Hey, they should enlarge the petting zoo!

You talk about adding new kiddie rides, to draw away tourism from major coasters to keep a smoother flow through the lines.
I don't think that that would actually happen. The increase in kiddie rides would bring more families in. It would not help the coasters at all because there would still be the same amount of people riding them. This reason is because the kiddies would most likely not be tall enough to ride. There would just be a increase in tourism.
Right!
