Your list of things you bring IN to the park....

What do you bring to Cedar Point when you go inside?

I myself consider many things...poncho if rain predicted. Swim trunks, beverage, sunglasses and a camera.

I have brought notes from school, and I have considered MP3 players also. Some people obviously will say "nothing" here, but still. Maybe we have some good ideas to pass the time.

I used to bring a camera, batteries, sweatshirt (weather dependent), and my wallet. Now I bring myself, my season pass, and a $20. I only bring my camera if I'm going into the park for the purpose of taking pictures because it's a pain (sometimes literally) to keep it in my pocket. If it's cool in the morning I'll wear the sweatshirt until it warms up and then carry it around and wear it if I have to (MF, TTD, etc).

Ok not really. I try to bring the essentials... wallet, phone, keys. But sometimes I bring the camera, and sometimes I bring a bottle of water. It's so nice to just refill from the fountains.

Like, to study, or from the school saying it's okay for you to be there on a school day? :)

Last year I used to buy the energy drinks inside the park but this year I'll buy it from the store before i go to the park 4.25 is too much money I can buy 2 at that price.Also pop

I have brought notes to Cedar Point sometimes when I go myself. Sometimes you get bored in line and need to study. Especially, if you go to the park before a college night class (done it).

There is also the bare essentials, money, season pass, credit card (maybe). I usually don't bring anything that cannot fit into a cargo pocket.

You know that you can't technically bring in any beverages other than un-opened bottles of water, right?

I have studied in the theme park....it is a relief when you can sit in line. I wouldn't mind some tunes and studying never hurts in line. It can get awfully boring sometimes. The noise of the coasters and screams can sometimes get over the top and heck some ear plugs sound good sometimes.

I find that it's always better to bring more crap to the park than you think you need and stuff it in one of the lockers than to forget it. Coats, ponchos, fluids, and so on.

I think I will bring some beach balls for the lines this summer if I can find them cheap.

Sunscreen, and believe it or not I brought a sweat rag this summer multiple times to wipe my brow in those 80-90 degree summer days.

What else have we brought in...I think thats it. It is a little tough to bring a lot of good things in. Although grillin out at the point sounds better and better each year.
I might come to the point with groceries :)

You can only bring water in the park, but what about if I bring crystal light flavored packets with me, and go to the stands and get ice. Am I breaking the rules?

It does not say no flavored packages for beverages.

The "official" rule that we were told to enforce at the gate last year (which was different from the rule in 2006, which I think was different from the rule in 2005) was that water is always allowed, and if someone was "in the process of drinking" a pop, coffee, etc. then we could allow them to come in with that. I know I turned away one guy who was trying to bring in a 12 pack of Coke once, but most people who come through with drinks are already drinking them.

Wallet and cellphone. Everything else is overkill! I even lock my keys in my car and have a single key to unlock my doors in my wallet.

If you have other beverages in your bag, I'm sure you could get away with bringing them in. Last year anyway, we never even checked bags. I do think this needs to be reinforced though.. because who's going to stop someone from bringing a gun in the park.. just saying.

And if you're going to do bag searches, you want to have actual uniformed security performing them. You don't want to have to wait on security when something happens. Not to mention, people would feel better about having a uniformed officer doing the search than some 17 year old in a red and blue shirt.

Why do we need to search bags at an amusement park? Because of the abundance of all the bomb and gun-wielding patrons we've seen over the years?

Someone's been watching a little too much Fox News, I think.

Beer and more beer

I'll even attest to the fact that nobody needs to bring a gun into an amusement park. It would just get in the way unless it was a small ankle-holstered gun during a cooler period.

I try to bring as little as possible. Last season my essentials were my cell phone and my season pass.

I usually stay at Breakers and store everything there. If I need something during the day I just go back and get it.

I use a locker even if I stay at Breakers. So I stash a camera, bathing suit, maybe sandals, sunblock, and water in there. Once I need the water I go find a stand and ask for a cup of ice and there ya go. Cold ice water for free.

I also would keep a poncho and hoody or something in there during the parts of the season that get cold.
