worst experience?

You guys sure had many experiences. Once I went on a monday, thinking it would be empty. When I got there, It was about 90 degrees, and more crowded than any other time. Then my sister ran off and me and my family had to look for her. I didn't even get to ride the Force...:(
Dragstercody,

Keep in mind that no amusement park is perfect. Since this is a topic about bad experiences, there will be bad experiences. Cedar Point has its share of problems, that does not mean that people just make up crap on here, these stories are true. You'll have to get used to the reality that life isn't perfect.

I was stuck at the top of millennium force and they had to bring everyone down with the "maintenence box thingy." pardon my terms. it was rather scary because i had to stand up and get out of the car 310 feet in the air but hey! i got a free ride pass so it all worked out.

blasting off in 17 days...........

Last summer I went with a group of people from my church, and since we all go to the same church I walked around with my then-girlfriend and her sister the whole day. Around 3-ish, they wanted to go on Disaster Transport, but I was a little tired so I stayed behind in Kiddie Kingdom. I had been sitting there for a little while when I decided I ought to go sit at that refreshment stand by the Space Spiral and the exit of DT. On the way over there, I decided to take a quick trip up in the SS and then proceeded to park myself at one of the tables w/ an unbrella. Sooo, i waited, and waited, and waited and they never got off the ride. It was around 5:00 by then and we had to meet the rest of our group at the picnic area to check in and have a bite to eat. After that, I decided to back in to the park and look for them. Just as I was re-entering the park, they come walking right at me. Turns out, they never went on DT, because the lines were long (it was a hot day). It must have been when I was up in the Space Spiral when they came out the entrance and couldn't find me at my original location in Kiddie Kingdom. To make metters worse, they didn't bother looking for me. Instead they rode Raptor and Corkscrew. >:-O

Riding in the front seat of the Corkscrew, they started the ride out of the station, but the harness wasn't locked and everyone in our car was yelling to stop the ride and frantically waving at the ops until one of them noticed and stopped us when the train was 2/3 of the way out of the station. Oops :)

Probably not known to most people, but Corkscrew has a prox sensor at the front of the station that checks for any safety restraint locking levers that are in the unlocked position as the train passes by. If a restraint is unlocked, the train would stop at the bottom of the lift hill automatically.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

all rides do have sensors and run mostly by cpu's
This may be a bad expirence but my worst would be about 5 or 6 years ago. I wasnt a big rollar coaster rider but the one ride I seemed to come to ease with was Disaster Transport. I must have rode that ride like 5 times in a row. Looking back I dont know what I was thinking. Now a days I ride anything.

Can't wait for TTD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, my absolute worst experience at Cedar Point was my 2nd and last time to go on Chaos. I'm on it with my husband, my hair is pulled back in a pony tail, and it gets wrapped around the top of the security restraint. So throughout the whole ride, while we're spinning every which way, my hair was being ripped out! I left quite a chunk on that ride and had a major headache the rest of the day. Needless to say, now I always put my hair in a bun before riding anything!!

My worst experience has to be about two years ago when I wanted to get a cheeseburger and fry platter from skyride refreshments. It took almost 20 miniuts to order it because the person behind the cash register couldent speak a lick of english. I am all for them employing people from other countries, but they should not stick them in certain possitions if they cant speak any/some english. Needles to say I missed half the laser show waiting in line.
Worst Cedar Point experience? Okay, how about this. I went to CP and rode rides all day and then get this... the park closed at night and I had to leave. ;)

If ignorance is bliss, why aren’t more people happy?

Last summer, the first thing we got in line for was Raptor. 30min into the line the ride broke down. We waited for 15min and left. We went to the Blue Streak and it was broken. Then we had a bite to eat and went on Blue Streak cuz it started up again. Later that day, MF broke and didnt reopen for the rest of the day! I was mad but Wicked Twister was awesome and we eventually did get to ride Raptor.
