Wisconsin clashes with the point

I'm not saying a waterpark resort in Sandusky wouldn't succeed...I think it would for the same reason that Great Bear Lodge and Kalahari both do great in Wisconsin Dells...they're just far enough away from home.

Wisconsin Dells is roughly halfway between Minneapolis/St Paul and Chicago. Sandusky is roughly somewhat midway between Detroit and Cleveland. See how that works?

I'm just saying that kind of cash outlay clashes with CF's fiscally conservative culture. If you read the article I linked you to, you'll note that three Wisconsin Dells resorts are banding together to explore the Sandusky Kalahari project....why? Because even though each of them have proven track records, they still can't get the financing they need on their own. It's just too far-fetched. And that's to say nothing of the fact that these are private entities, not publicly traded like CF. They are freer to fly by the seat of their pants.
