That ride is right in front of the Jr. Gemini, in the Jr. Gemini kids area. Its one of those spin rides for the kids. I don't know the name of it though. But its not in Camp Snoopy. *** Edited 2/21/2005 2:09:03 AM UTC by randinator***

I'm surprised there is a train on the tracks. I figured they would all be sitting on the ground.

cp kid, the ride you asked about is Rock, Spin, Turn, and it is part of the Gemini Childrens Area. Yes I know, because I was ATL there this past summer. It is a fun little ride, the kids love it. They can get those cars spinning really fast. Unfortunatly they didn't allow us to have someone there to run it all the time. But that is just another can of worms.
Thanks for the winter pictures Jeff and Walt. They are a nice sight to see on these long winter days.
I thik you are right!!!

Well apparently Walt hasn't been able to update it yet.
I'm only going to let it slide just once though. ;)

Those are all Walt's, actually. Although, oddly enough, mine all look exactly the same. I think I have one tighter shot of the main games area, but it's not different enough to post it.

I was just wondering, I didn't see the train coaches for the CP & LE Railroad on the track, so I was just wondering if they moved it somewhere else or if I just didn't see it for some odd reason.
Jeff I'm Sorry This Isn't The Right Place To Post This But I Was Wondering What You Do At Cedar Point And The Other People That Make The Site. Do You Guys Have All Access To The Park Durning The Off Season Or Do You Work Full Time Year Round Jobs There
Good Morning all.
As I was sitting at work and trying to pass some time I decided to
check to see if the Midway Pics were posted yet(Great job again to
the both you).
I was wondering how Cedar Point schedules train overhauls.
Do they start at one part of the park and work towards the other?
How long does it take to overhaul a set of trains and how long are
they given(if there is a schedule to rotate them in and out).
And do they replace the same parts every year whether they worn
or not?
Well guess I wasted enough time and board space.
Thanks in advance
Jeff and Walt have no relation with Cedar Point. This web site is very large and they've become well known to the park. Public relations allowed them to come in and photograph the park during the winter. Technically CP is using this as free advertisment.

We have a long-standing relationship with people at the park. I've been to some of their weddings, one of them was in mine. While this site is obviously not officially sanctioned by the park, we certainly have relationships that go back for years. We play by their rules and they help us out.
causewaycruiser: I can't say for sure, but I've seen trains come off of rides before the end of the season, at least with Gemini before they modified it. I don't know if they start to overhaul them at that point or not.
When the park did a construction tour for Wicked Twister for a small group of enthusiasts, one of the enclosed pavilions had a variety of vehicles stripped down. There were two Wildcat cars, two cars from an Iron Dragon train and I think an entire Blue Streak train, stripped down almost completely (they were replacing the lap bar mechanisms completely with new parts from PTC). I don't recall seeing any of the Millennium Force yellow train, so that one was presumably being worked on.
So is there a schedule? I don't know, but it's reasonable to assume that certain mechanics are more familiar with certain rides, and therefore spend more time with some than others. If that's the case, you might have one or two guys that deal exclusively with one set of vehicles.
