The weather forecast has taken a turn for the worse in the last 24 hours. Hoping we get lucky and it doesn't pour. I've never been to a super rainy Chill Out, bad luck!
Does anyone know if CP has allowed umbrellas for Chill Out in the past? I'm assuming they don't but wanted see if anyone knew for sure.

^ I think we are close enough to Sat to plan on the forecast. Our area has rain every day, with more rain predicted for each day through next Sunday.
I understand the majority of the tour is on pavement, but, by the end of the walk everyone will be completely soaked. I wonder about any flooding issues regarding getting to Sandusky. Our area -esp directly north of us- has flood warning/watches
Sandusky -Fri is predicted to be about 3/4 inch. Sat during the day is another half inch, and Sat later more rain.
Our area is pretty similar to the Sandusky forecast. Rain each day.
I think it's going to be a soggy, muddy, wet mess by the end of the tour.
We haven't missed a Chill Out in 7 years, but, weather may be an issue....seriously debating.
I know it will be warm for the time of the year, but, with wet shoes, socks, pant-legs it will make for a long cold drive home.
We have been waiting and wanting to get back in the park, I'm not certain what we will choose to do...will be great to be in the park -will be cold wet and miserable.
We have all the rain gear....long coats, hats, boots, umbrellas.... I've been teased for having more than a dozen umbrellas in my car. I find them cheap -garage sale, thrift store, clearance sale, I grab them. ( I even have a hands free umbrella...it has a brace that goes over your shoulder and then an arm that tucks underneath your arm -in your armpit. Looks like it just floats over your head) I always pick up cheap umbrellas Because you always need another!
My concern is more for the flood issues, hard to decide to be gone for hours while you're concerned about crawlspace/basement/yard/roadways flooding.
^ I have no idea what you think of fashion and what other people think, but, if you already have rain proof jacket and boots you can always make do with a trash bag...it's only for a few hours on one day.
Preferably, Use a cinch tie trash bag, slit the bottom of the bag and step into it ...like stepping into a skirt, then use the cinch tie -to tie it as a belt. May look silly, but it's practical. You can use white kitchen bag (they are normally smaller size) or the bigger bags are normally 33 gal or lawn and leaf, but those are normally in fashion forward slimming black....after all, white is normally only worn after Memorial Day thru Labor Day! haha
Kind of joking, but, i have seen this before and it does work -cheaply. as everyone has trash bags at home. It is a simple quick solution that works. If you get a few folks to go along and do this as well, everyone else will think "Thats kinda smart. Why didnt we think of that?"
The most important thing to wear is wool socks, preferably with a poly or silk liner like a women’s dress sock. Will keep your feet warm and next to zero chance of a blister. Cotton kills.
I find a felt expedition type hat much preferable than a hood.
Frog Toggs at Wally World are cheap solution for rain paints but I just wear synethic cargo pants. :D
