Before they were removed, the park also allowed on-ride photography on Paddlewheel and Space Spiral.

^In my opinion, they should have this policy on cameras-
Under my system, on "observation" rides (Giant Wheel, Sky Ride)and slow, gentle, forceless rides (Midway Carousel and Kiddy Kingdom Carousel) if you have a lanyard, on other rides (Anywhere from the Planet/Camp Snoopy rides to most or all coasters) if you have a tight wrist strap and a small camera, (and permission from the ride crew) and on water rides if you have a waterproof camera with a similar wrist strap and size for the thrill rides. That would be a good system, in my opinion.
If you are going to be stuck dangling at the top of a giant chair swing, I suppose Windseeker just "feels" more solid than dangling from ordinary chains on a StarFlyer type ride. Just ask these folks... http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news/175222311.html
Just say no to trims
If you look at the last 45 seconds of the video, you see WindSeeker move! This is the first time in weeks it has moved!

Maybe it will open this weekend?

What about the Giant Wheel?
If you can't ride it alone, because it is too dangerous, then you certainly can't take photos either.

Thank you Coaster boi for the update. Hopefully we'll get to see more testing before all the rides go into hibernation mode this last weekend of operation.
It doesn't look like the carraige moved, I think that was just the lights on the tower coming on. maybe not, it was too quick :)
The gondala DEFINATLY moved. :) I am excited.

I just watched a good chunk of the last 45 seconds frame by frame and didn't see any point where the gondola moved. There were a couple points where the sun was reflecting off MaxAir and it was in a position that looked like it was on the Windseeker tower, but I never once saw the Windseeker gondola move.

It looks like it wasn't spinning. Windseeker may have just been in "elevator" mode to fix some of the communication equipment on top.

It always does "elevator mode" before a day of running.

This is getting annoying now. The ride has been closed for the entire month of October, how long does it take to inspect a ride? Just because one ride of the same model malfunctions, they all have to be shut down for a super long period. I mean, maybe for a week to inspect, but not a full month and a half. I know the need for safety, being America and all, but this is ridiculous.
Well it was just not one inccident. There were several that occured on five of the six models. The big "problem" was at Knotts, though.

It sounds like they may be coming up with a fix to how the ride does safety mode/e-stop. If so, they would modify all the existing installations.
Look at the bright side, Maxair managed to say open all season again this year. It used to shut down every September/October for years. :)
