WindSeeker Closed

Apparently WindSeeker has reopened. Anyone have confirmation? The Knotts website says theirs is staying closed until the 20th so it doesn't make much sense for it to be open now.

I think the state of California is requiring Knotts to do some additional work that the other parks do not need to do.

I doubt it was open at the Point today simply because it was way too windy here in Sandusky.

If anyone remembers when Invertigo got stuck at CA it was down for a pretty good time. Seems to me that the CA has way too much time on their hands.

According to the article below, Cedar Point still doesn't know if it'll open this season. The article was posted today too so I don't think it opened or is set to open.

The conversation I had with Ed Dangler (i think that was his name) on Thursday, they don't know when it will open.

I doubt it's re-opening this season.... i've been known to be wrong.

Hmm. That is kinda sad that they made a sign. That tells me that it will not reopen soon. :(

That is sad to see, but I hope they will figure out how to get the ride better so no one else will be stuck like the people were for several hours! I will enjoy it again soon after it is fixed!!!!

If I recall correctly, that sign was used at the beginning of the season. Kings Island's WindSeeker did not open until about three weeks into the season.

That is most likely also the sign they use when there are high winds.

I recall that too. Anyone remember why?

I believe it was the last of the Windseekers that received the newest installments of dampeners.

Why so late? CP's opened on time. Why did it take them so long to put them in place?

And by opening on time, do you mean in mid June? Then yes, our Windseeker opened on time.

Did ours open late? I thought it opened on time. I remember riding it on opening day 2012.

It was probably open on Opening Day 2012, but Windseeker was installed in 2011 and opened late.

I want to get stuck during a fireworks display :) That would be unforgettable.

I mean this year, not 2011. KI WindSeeker opened late this year.

That would be awesome. Unless you were stuck facing the lake. Then that would just be pure bad luck altogether.
