I'll be interested if anyone can tell what was changed/modified. I'd guess the lift hills were modified somehow, but I can't say I ever paid much attention to them previously. The debacle with the boats holding water was enough of a problem.

I'm thinking it was the boats that had to be modified (or at least their undercarriage). For the chain dog AND anti roll backs to fail.....sounds like the lift would be innocent in this case. :P

Hey everyone, I rode Shoot the Rapids yesterday so we can party due to the fact that I won't be asking anymore about it! :)
Bluestreaker, lmao! Too funny

What about the roll cages? How have they affected the ride experience?
Hmmmm, I can't tell if that's funny, or just in bad taste......

Well, it's not like I'm mocking the people that were involved with the incident.

That's false, they wouldn't install rollcages, the boats already had sinking problems, we'd be back to square one ^^_

I rode both Skyhawk and StR today.
I didn't notice any modifications to StR (which is a shame, haha, since I think the ride could use some...). StR's biggest issue, IMO, continues to be how slow it is throughout the course (excluding the lifts and drops).
It was great to see both rides in action after so much downtime last year.
Thrills Around the Corner!
I don't understand why they don't try and speed up the course. Can't they make the water run more fluently like how they do on TC and how they did on WWL? Both move/moved spectacular through the course.
I think on the Arrow flumes there is an actual slope to the flume where the water current speeds along due to the elevation drop. StR has a flat flume where I believe the current is powered by pumps.
I was actually surprised that the middle seat of the boats is still not used. Intamin sure did a bang-up job (pun intended) designing those boats!.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
