Yeah, Skyhawk definitely seems a bit weaker this year, and I noticed that the side closest to the town hall seems to swing a bit faster/always been one step ahead of the other side, too.
We didn't get around to riding it, but I was noticing this throughout the weekend as well. Strange seeing the arms out of sync.

Yeah. it's really odd, especially looking at it while in line. It seems the town hall side swings through before the other side is even fully down. It's also not swinging nearly as high. I thought the ride seemed a little bit on the gentle side, and I don't remember being able to look back at Millennium Island while partially upside-down on the full sing, either.
If the swing height is reduced, then I'm not as bummed as I thought about not getting on it over the weekend. Still disappointing, though, as that was far and away my favorite flat.

I don't know if a.) it was on purpose, and b.) if both sides are affected, because I only got on the Mine Ride side, but it seemed really weak.
That's too bad. I'm not sure why all giant flat rides seem to have problems.

This past Sunday neither side was swinging as high as in years past. Had a good vantage point while waiting to get on Woodstock Express. I assume it has been neutered a bit to keep whatever broke last year from happening again.
I'd rather they nerf the ride a little than be out of commission for most of the year.

Shoot the Rapids was testing around 4pm this afternoon.
You just made my day dude. ;)
Well well, I guess there wasn't as much work to be done to the boats as I thought there was.

Any news on Shoot the Rapids running yet? Have any of the water rides opened yet?
No Shawn, I haven't heard anything yet. Oh wait, you're not Shawn.

On Wednesday and Thursday they had crews testing/training at STR, Thunder, and Snake River Falls. Boats were running on all three rides. Also, it seems like the ride cycle has been shortened on Skyhawk. I'm glad it was a walk on or else I would have been disappointed.
Remember, it's nice to be important- but it's more important to be nice.
I don't care, I deserve it for annoying everyone about Shoot the Rapids all of last season and the off-season...lol.
I was just joking around, since Shawn seems to be the only one here who cares so much about STR. I never rode it yet, so I've got no opinion of it. Maybe I'll try it this year.

Glad to see you're taking it in stride!
As for STR, I got exactly one ride in back in 2010. It was quite busy but then it was also a hot summer day. Not a bad ride but I don't remember much else.
