Anybody know what kind, if any, of injuries did they experience?

All 14 people had to be life flighted due to ruptured spleens.

Seriously, do you think the speculation of this incident
with no actual knowledge is going to produce actual facts of injuries too?

Take you up really really high and then drop you at speeds that are really really fast.

I hope this rumor isn't true. We all know what happened last year with the Magnum. The last thing Cedar Point needs is another roller coaster crash. I really hope this is just another false rumor.

Millennium Force
The Future is Riding On It.

I was there today and there was only one car on the track. Which I knew was odd. I love that ride and was sad to see it down. I just hope it wasn't something so bad that someone was hurt.

When I win the lottery, I am buying a summer home in Sandusky

I noticed only one car on the track today too.

What happened or what was the rumor with Magnum last year? I hope not that it is sinking, because that would be some bad news! ;)

I have never ridden Wild Cat for this very reason. I really do hope that that is a rumor, because if not...that's scary. But I never would ride it because I felt safer on the big coasters, than on a little one like that. I won't even ride those kind at carinvals. I'm sure it's a fine coaster and all, but it's just my own personal fears that stop me from riding it. Let's hope that my fears didn't come true!

What happened with Magnum? It blew the safeties and bumped on the readies.

What I do know about Wildcat is that last Saturday it threw its lift chain at least four times over the course of the day.

This Sunday, I was in the park and the ride was not operating. I wasn't paying close enough attention to notice that four cars were missing; I was busy noticing that the chain was properly looped around the upper sprocket in the way that it wasn't most of the day last Saturday.

i don't know what happened, but I would not be surprised if the incidents are related. A friend speculated that perhaps the chain failures were related to parts improperly installed on the cars during winter maintenance, which would explain the cars being removed for the moment to fix the problem.

Apart from the observations (mostly related to what it was doing last Saturday) this is all speculation.

Wildcat was down Sunday.

Well today is the day we find out for sure if it was true. The media is dependable and nothing says feeding frenzy like a coaster crash. If there was injuries to guests, there will be a story today in either a paper or on TV. If there isnt, either the rollback didnt happen or it did with no guests on it (ie any injuries were to employees.)

I was there on opening day. I know that it was cown for a bit but didn't think much of it considering all the problems tha that Maverick was happening. We rode on it. NO problems that day, but I know that style of ride is known for chains to break!

Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

I hope this did not happen. As for 14 injuries, I would doubt that. They only load one car at a time. They don't have a line of cars loaded and waiting.

While I don't know the specifics (as this is still an unconfirmed rumor), it is plausible, however unlikely, that 14 people would suffer minor injuries. There is a car on the lift (4), Car ready for dispatch (4), and car loading (4)... 2 employees are always right next to those cars, so if they were injured that would be 14... Not to mention the possibility of flying debris from the collision, or the guy out on the midway who claims he broke his leg from running away from the accident....

This is sounding more and more like that incident that happened on The Bat at Kings Island. Everybody in Cincinnati knows someone who knows someone who was at the park the day that the Bat crashed into a tree. Which is really interesting, considering that it NEVER HAPPENED.

I guess it is kind of like the number of licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop... "The world may never know..."
