I totally agree that it's needed in the hotels. Maybe the access in Donut Time is just the first step.

They have it in the hotels. Not all over - just in the lobbies. Definitely was working in Breakers Express when I was there earlier this week. Free although you must go through an "accept the terms and conditions" page first.
They put it in their cheapest hotel first? That doesn't seem to make sense to me. Outdoor wireless repeaters are not that expensive, so I'm not sure why Lighthouse Point and Camper Village aren't "wired" yet. Wireless would be way cheaper to install there than an entire hotel.
Wi-Fi is available in the lobbies of all Cedar Point Resort properties, not just Breakers Experss. It is not available in room, however.

CP claims its in all resport lobbies. See <http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/faq.cfm> and scroll down about half way.
"Do you have internet connections available to guests staying at the Cedar Point Resorts properties?

Sweet. Now I can enjoy some worldwide gaming with my brunch snack. If I had a laptop (or could use my mom's one that she has for work), I would definately be doing updates from the park, possibly even video. But, since I don't have a laptop, looks like I have to still wait for that 3 1/2 hour drive.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
That picture is awesome, Jason.
I can see this being useful in the park for people like my dad. He is the kind of person that hates every ride in the park but comes anyway. Now he can bring his laptop and go do some work there when he gets tired of complaining. ;)
LOL. BTW, I'll have more pics when I get home (on my way now) but they have 4 laptops set up here for public use. They ask that you limit your usage to 15 minutes.

Classic....I'm rolling on the floor.
All seriousness, get wireless in EVERY room at the point. Who wants to look like a nerd in the lobby checking e-mail and fantasy sports line ups. That stuff should be kept in the privacy of your expensive rooom :).
How far does the wireless signal travel I wonder? Possibilities, depending on the signal strength could be:
On these tables out front:

Or the benches just to the right of this picture:

Of course you might not get a full signal, but I'd think you might get some.

Jason sent in a few photos:
Corporate sponsorship.
I'd think it was cooler if I wasn't ticked off at AT&T for the whole surveillance thing.
By the way, Jason, you should really be using Firefox. ;)

wow, here i thought CP was doing a nice thing for their guests, and they were just putting in corporate advertisers. i've never been a big fan of that. i don't like the johnny rockets or TGIFridays either.
Who cares if it's sponsored by someone? The Wi-Fi was a nice thing until you found out there was an AT&T ad. Then, all of the sudden it's evil? I don't get it.
^ I'm with Walt. Should Cedar Point just shell out the money themselves? How high would you like to see the ticket prices go.

Are you against Snake River Falls, it's sponsored by Pepsi?
