Why such a secret? Conspiracy??

I was wondering what any of you guys think about this? We can plainly see that the layout is l-th-b. If this is the case, why would this ride be such a secret? Besides the fact that it will most likely be the tallest and fastest rollercoaster (which someone who doesn't know exactly what the ride will be already knows). So why such a secret then? Why wouldn't they announce what it is if we all know what it is. I strongly believe that there is something more than we suspect . Even if it is just l-th-b, cedar point must have something up their sleeves they dont want anyone else to know (possibly a new element). If there wasn't, what's the point in keeping it a secret if everyone knows what it is, I smell something fishy, something fishy we will all be very excited about when they finally announce this thing.
Wow. You really made a splash with your first post. Now go empty your pants.
If it is so obvious what it is, please tell me how tall it will be and how fast it will go.
yes, I hope this does make quite a splash. Now if you see that this forum is ever closed, you know what i am saying is true, something has to be up.
pretty much all message boards are good for is making fun of other people. its like some people will never grow up. it seems like half of the posts on here are sarcastic posts to make the poster feel better about him or herself and their status on the board, or how long he or she has been here makes them a better person. i am sure some of you feel the same way as i do about this, but sometimes before i post i think about what i am going to post just incase there is something that might make some of you make fun of me.

in the words of Norm McDonald "Rediculous"

pmp - If this board is closed, which would not surprise me, it won't be because of any conspiracy. You raised the conspiracy question in the title, then never mentioned it even once in your post. Why not? What conspiracy? What would the reason be? Post something with a bit of logic behind it and you will get some pretty good feedback. You may not agree with it, but most people will give you credit for thinking. You only repeated the same old questions that have been asked over and over and over again. Look before you leap, and take argo grag's advice - think before you post.

You probably mean "ridiculous," right?

Anyway, if people are sarcastic, it's usually in the face of people who refuse to exercise common sense and just look at that which is obvious.

I agree. Theres definitely gotta be something up their sleeves. I still wonder if CP is trying to trick us. I'm still hoping maybe instead of a tophat, that it will go up, twist to the left, over the top, go down but not twist, go on to Millennium Island do whatever, then come back, make a vertical drop that twists to the right, and then go into the brake run. (notice they haven't added to the tower for a while) But this is just me hoping.
yes, you are right, i did mean ridiculous. but in the way norm says it.

I aslo do believe cedar point is up to something. why would they delay the announcment sso long. Maybe it is a new element or maybe they are just messing with us
No conspiracy... it's all a part of the plan...
what plan is that DO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE BUILDING ...
Why would CF announce anything when they are getting all of this publicity for free?

The announcement delay has been caused by US. Don't blame CF, blame yourselves. CF is just capitalizing on an opportunity.

PR is expensive and they are getting a boatload of it for FREE.

These posts amaze me - I thought I was the last one holding a torch. I do not believe CP is trying to trick us, or even cares that much about our (enthusiasts) opinion.

I believe the announcement will be made when it is in CPs best interest - either at IAAPA - after SFMM - or after some other park that may be working on a record breaker as well. Coasters are our hobby - building and maintaining them is a business. CP runs a great business and makes decisions based on the market and GP (not enthusiasts, unfortunatly).

My $.02 and opinion.

Tom - who now firmly believes this will just be a L-TH-B

I think they havn't announced it yet b/c most of the general public doesn't know yet what this ride is. I've told my friends at work about it and most of them were unaware of it. Most of us on here know what the ride will be b/c we look at the webcams, look at the pictures, and piece it all together like it was CSI (I love that show). Most of the GP does not do this and is only aware of what they've seen built so far while at CP, at most. Once CF finally spills the beans, most of the GP will be taken by surprise.
They are waiting so there is less time for people dreaming up ideas to complain before the ride actually opens.
