Why is WT unpopular?

Wicked Twister.
I think he meant other than Wicked Twister, what is over on that side of the park to draw people there. You know, MF and Mantis are close to eachother, TTD and Geminii are close, Iron Dragon and Corkscrew, etc.
Yes exactly DragsterRaptor. Nothing over there draws attention to the crowds but WT, which people supposodly dont like.
Maybe if the rumor is true about the Huss Giant that CP is thinking about, they could put it over on the boardwalk which would help out that area.
Personally, the ride doesn't do anything for me. I'm not saying it's not popular, cause it still seems to be, as evident from the replies. But I've only ridden it twice (and similar rides like it), and I'm already kind of bored with it. You go back and forth, up and down - it's like a really big Ocean Motion, with a twist. Besides, it always seemed to me like it was built as a shot to Worlds of Adventure's Superman - Ultimate Escape, something that I see as being beneath Cedar Point's level of operation, and as a "cheap" way to maintain their "most coasters" title. Honestly, I don't consider it a coaster. I know many people'll disagree, that's their perrogative. But that's how I feel. Anyone else?

I do think it's a great supporting ride, and perfect for getting lots of ride in a little space. I'd ride it if lines were short. Otherwise, I'll spend my time elsewhere. I suppose that's good news to those who do like to ride it... a shorter line.

And who says that every area of the park has to be packed with people? I prefer that area of the park BECAUSE it's not so incredibly busy.

Any similarity in name is purely coincidental.

You prefer that area of the park but are not crazy about it's main ride, WT?

Bi-Polar, for sure.

It's way to under-rated, and with biggies like Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster it's hard for WT to become popular...
MrScott,

Here's what I said:

"And who says that every area of the park has to be packed with people? I prefer that area of the park BECAUSE it's not so incredibly busy."

I also prefer that area because of Disaster Transport (I am a fan), because in that area is where our family has traditionally met for 27 years, because of Space Spiral and Giant Wheel and French Fries and a HUGE amount of stuff that isn't there anymore, and because most visitors seem to only appreciate the big roller coasters these days. Wicked Twister is just another ride in the area for me.

Old school... yes. Bi-polar... no.

I prefer that part of the park because I always stay at Breakers... and it is right by the Beach/Breakers entrance. Since I almost always enter there, I ussually start out with both WT and DT.

I can see what you are saying Coasterguy, WT doesn't really do much, same with TTD. But, they are still both great rides.

However, I do not believe that it is "beneath Cedar Point's level of operation". Cedar Point built it because they like to have every style of coaster (I mean how many types do they not have, now?), not to show any park up, or take back a coaster title.

It is certainly at Cedar Point's level of operation. They take an old style of coaster, just make it bigger, faster, and better than anything in existence... just as they have been doing for years.

And by the way... Wicked Twister is a roller coaster.

WT is one of my favorite rides, too. I think of it as a kind of mini Dragster. My girlfriend can't hardly ride it though, because the twisting makes her sick. Maybe that's why some people don't like it.
hey i think that wt is bedder and more fun then mf
