Why I Am Coming Back?

Okay so I was pondering on a new topic since the first didn't go too dandy. I didn't have much to say to other topics and started to get really bored. So I thought to myself.....what am I doing up at 3:00 in the morning yet at another cedar point site. I guess I'm starting to get "season 2000 fever". And then I thought that I was going insane. I guess you can for some reason say I miss my summer "career". I guess what I like to ask everyone out there is to share with us what part of your job did you enjoy.
The part of my job that I enjoyed most...

The animals of course. They love you unconditionally.

I love the people. My fellow employees and the guest. Well, most of the guests anyway.

Why I'm coming back...good question....well I guess you could say that Akron is pretty boring during the summer and I would have so much more fun hanging hang out with all my friends at cp....they are the only reason why I am going back because they made my cp experience an awesome one......Well for the work it was hell and I sure don't look forward to that :)
Hey by the way who is Jake Drews and Only the finest 34.
i'm going back cos i love kiddy kingdom and all those lovely horns.
Let's see, why I'm going back? I could go into a long drawn-out example but I'll try to make it short. =) There are many reasons. First off, I think the fact that my first season was so awesome kind of got me hooked! I mean, how could it not be, in Stockade with the MIBs. =) But like everyone else, its the friends I've made that make CP what it is to me. I like watching the magic, and the adrenaline rush I get the first time I walk on the midway, or the last of the season. =( And those days that you are so rushed, huge lines and waits, people are cranky, and there is that one family that just talks to you and is having a wonderful time while waiting for their 5 hot dogs. =) Oh, and I don't think I could ever spend another boring summer in Athens. =)

Cool you guys are responding. I guess I forgot to tell you guys why I am going back. Have you seen a child's face light up when you asked what they rode on or seen today? If you did, then you would understand my reason on going back.
Go back to for all the women and beer. hahahaha. Actully It's worth while experience because it's very unique. How many amusements parks have housing for employees? It's college without homework..
Well said Jake, well said.
Why am I coming back. I really dont know, I guess it was orginally for the job I wanted, but now, I think I just want one last summer.

CP is primarily a summer job for college students. Most stay one to four years and then they graduate from college.

So yeah I thought this was a pretty cool topic and I figured that I would chime in with my little story...

This upcoming year will be my 3rd year and the reason I am returning is because of the PEOPLE, the friends you meet. I never knew several years ago that some of my good friends wouldn't even be from this country! The co-workers that soon become your close friends, friends that are there to listen to you rant about that one guest, friends that will go out to eat with you at Taco Bell after work, friends that will help you out with your problems. The memories that you make that you will remember for the rest of your life, memories so awesome and insane and unique...its definitely not the sunburn, the angry guests (although some are rather amusing), the pay, the long hours (although those are only at the begininning and the end of the season) or the lack of high speed internet. If I wanted a better paying job with benefits and set hours I could get one of those, as boring as that would be but it sure as hell wouldnt be nowhere near as fun, amazing, incredible or insane as working at Cedar Point.

Despite some of the downsides, the upsides far outweigh them....the past 2 seasons have been the 2 best summers of my life and I have met some pretty incredible people, you are only young once and you have the rest of your life to have a "real job".

I am going back for the kids and adults that say they are scared to go on a ride and you stand there and take two second to talk to them, they ride and thank you for telling them to try it. I love seeing the smiling faces of guests that said they won't go on it and they get off and they loved it :)

The whole atmosphere of Cedar Point is just amazing, the people you meet are amazing. I love my job.

Im coming back because of how much i loved last season. I had no idea what to expect when i applied for the job back in janurary, but it turned out to be one of my best summers ever. Being away from home and all my friends there is hard, but the friends you make and the experience you gain from a summer at CP is priceless.

^^ Pete, why are you brining everyone down??? ;)
