Why dosent anyone say........ anymore.....?

My last Years Visits at my beloved CP were excellent and all but i noticed something, over the years ride ps have stopped saying "Hi welcome to cedar Point, Americas Rooooollller Coast!" The only people that did it last year were the people operating the Dodgems. I always found the phrase very catchy and cool, maybe u ppl should start saying it again. Oh, how are the employee lodging at CP, on the website they look good?
I actually heard them say that line only on a couple of rides too. I remember it on blue streak, disaster transport, and that's it. I rode most of the rides, so I should have heard they line a little more. I wish they would, it's a cool saying.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Maybe because they've changed the advertising and phrase to "the Amazement Park".

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

No they haven't. Magnum's autospiel still says "Cedar Point America's Rollercoast." but this is where the problem stems from. Since many rides are being given the autospiel, the phrase isn't given nearly as much energy or emphasis so you can miss it easily.

Every ride I was on yesterday without an autospeil was saying "America's rockin' roller coast!"
Same here Joe, I went on Wave Swinger and even the guy running that was saying "America's Rockin' Roller Coast!"

2006 season pass holder.
Go Pistons!!

I agree, but I liked when you guys say "America's Rockin Roller Coast!" and instead of "clear" i liked "ready, ready" just some small things I like that I rarely hear anymore.

Can't wait for 07 season!

Scott you should ride Magnum (the better coaster lol u get it) they say "ready ready" Then clear lol. To bad they have the recorded announcement now. (Head Back and Shoulders lol)

I would hope you still hear "clear" and "ready"
"Clear" means a train in being sent out of the station and clear the platform. "Ready" means it is safe to dispatch another train, "Ready, ready" means the trains are stacking or will shortly.
When I was on spiels I always said Rockin roller coast. As for the autospiels, I am rather shocked Raptor didn't have them this season, I know there were MANY MANY times I wish we had had them! Repeating the same thing over and over again gets boring, not to mention 99.9% of the guests don't listen anyway.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Not just ready, "ready, ready"

Can't wait for 07 season!

we say america's rockin roller coast on Ocean Motion and Chaos
You would rather not hear someone over the PA saying "ready, ready" since that means that the crew is working at less than their optimal efficiency. We are pretty good at hitting interval, and we are working on hitting interval consistantly even when we get slow guests or special accesses.

If I remember correctly last year on Magnum i heard "Ready Ready" every single time while waiting in the station.

I would hear "Ready" just as the train went over the hill and then "Ready Ready" just as it reached the top of the second hill. Then we would hear "Clear" right after that and the train went off.

We definitely still say America's Rockin Rollercoast over at Mean Streak, Gina our TL insists upon it. And I've even gone out on a limb a few times and said "enjoy your day at Cedar Point, America's only Amazement park", and even though Amazement Park is written on t-shirts in the gift shops, my crew still kinda gave me weird looks, but yeah, I knew what I was doing.

Never hear "The Amazement Park" myself, but before 2000, I was only able to go to Cedar Point once or twice at the most a year. I'm now a 3rd year season pass holder and loving it. I still hear them say "America's Rockin' Rollercaost" all the time.

Yea on my last trip I heard that everywhere. I love the slogan, kinda creative.

Go Ravens and Lakers, don't worry, we'll bounce back.

X at SFMM is frickin awesome, it's a must ride for all coaster fans.

Miami Heat: Now Diesel Powered!

You can thank of PWE crew in 2000 for the "rockin' rollercoast"...we would get bored by the 40th trip of the day and think up new slogans for the heck of it. Americas "fry-eatin', sky-touching, line waitin', rip-rockin rollercoast"...and it stemmed from that.
