Yaaaaay!!! I'm glad MiA gets thunderhawk. I felt bad for the park just a few threads ago, and now I find out about thunderhawk.
Well, I wish I lived near MIA so I could go there, but I think I'm kind of far,it's weird because I'm in Michigan and never see Michigan Adventure commercials, but I see Cedar Point ones all the time and everyone around me knows what Cedar Point is and I don't think anyone knows what MIA is.
Finally! A better ride to go on! I mean Shivering Timbers kills and Corkscrew is too short... They need to get more rides like this

^^ - it's because the Detroit area is outside their advertising range. They aren't a regional park like CP, they are very much a local park (like GLP used to be).

They do have quite a few billboards on the major highways in Michigan though.

Whoops...wrong park. I guess I'm not sure what's going to PKD....Dominator? (although again rumored).
Cedar Fair just needs to close down all these other parks. We already know that's the reason they were bought. I don't know why they are stringing the public along by operating these profitable parks when they were bought just to stymie the competition.
Oh, and they need to keep the unprofitable ones open to placate the few who didn't support the park very much anyway, but hate to see a piece of history lost.

No, it was bought by a developer who kept the park open for 4....what? You mean he just closed it down immediately rather than employing some elaborate ruse to placate a small percentage of the population? But companies don't do that. They develop giant schemes to make average Joe feel like everything is ok when in fact they have some nefarious and devious plot in place to snatch his hopes and dreams out from under him.

And where is your evidence to that?

^The evidence is that quite a few people believe such crap. It makes zero sense for CF do such. I particularly love when someone comes out with CF knowing about the Paramount deal in early 2004. Umm...has anybody ever heard Bill Engvall's "Here's your sign" routines. I rest my case.

I am very excited about this news. I am very pleased with Cedar Fair's decision to move Thunderhawk from Geauga Lake to Michigan's Adventure. I also look forward to future expansion of the park.

For those who say Cedar Point doesn't get had-me-downs, remember the Pirate Ride that originally came from Freedomland. How about the still operating today Cedar Downs, which originally operated at Euclid Beach Park? Don't forget about the ever-popular CP&LE Rail Road!

^And that was what 40, 50 years ago. I don't know about you, but I think the park's image has changed a little. Maybe just a tad.

Craig - I'm glad at least you could see through the sarcasm dripping off that post.

I actually don't think that one's too far off.
Are we still talking about a company that owns amusement parks?
It's hard to tell at times.
