Which will you head to first? Millenium Force or M

Did you go down or up first? I sat in the seat befor I chickened out. When I got the courage to ride the next time we where there I had to drag my freinds on (they thought I would chicken out again but I was determined). I hugged the restraint all the way to the top and all the way back down. I felt quessy from the fear rather than the ride.

I might not be the first to ride the Force, but I will probably be the first to loose my lunch on this thing.
Coaster Mike: Your park itinerary and strategy is great. I’m insanely jealous!
ToofastGM3: I like to ride Blue Streak first, too, but I don’t know this time!
DavidM: This is definitely what I’m going to do if possible. Going on a weekday in May or very late in the season gets you lots of ride time.
Servo: Good point. Sometimes a really hot ride isn’t open all day for some reason.
cpboy: Put me in the “woob woob woob” crowd. (I believe that was Curley's line, among others)

I hear MF calling “Ride me! Ride me!”. Somehow, the closer May gets the further away it seems.

woob woob woob crowd?

At the dawn of the new millennium they all bowed down to CP realizing they lost the war.
bodyin, I have only did the one that drops you, i have not done the one that shoots you up yet, only did that one in Vegas!

Likes her coasters like her men, fast and furious!
I did that too. CP's seems faster. Though I don't think it is.

what was it that someone said...."the only limit to height is what people are willing to get on"? is it possible that for the first month or so, the GP might actually STAY AWAY from MF until they've seen it in action/heard reviews/waited to see if anyone dies? like when "Phantom Menace" opened...mostly Star Wars geeks, no real GP represented there. At least that's how it was in Chicago. we actually ended up sseing it over our CP weekend, the weekend AFTER it opened. so, we fanatice may not have very long to wait in line early on, compared with the END of the season. a friend of mine who went to SFGAm early said he waited 20 minutes for Raging Bull, and another friend who went the second to last weekend of Fright Fest didn't even get on because the wait was FIVE HOURS LONG!!! go early, go often, guys.

You could go to Star Wars at any location. Their is only one 310 foot tall, 92 mph Millennium Force. Plus 13 other world class coasters. Even if it's all "coaster geeks" it will still be packed. Think people will be there from all over the world. We might even see a alien from Mars or Pluto. lol The fact is it is also the first time it opens on a Saturday in five years and not on mothers day. People will just come to see it causeing other lines to be long. Many people will probably ride some smaller rides (Magnum, Raptor)
-------------
I can't belive in this day and age. We can now call Magnum, Raptor, Gemini, Mean Streak, and Mantis small. Then theres the kiddy rides like Iron dragon, Corkscrew, Blue Streak and Wildcat. *** This post was edited by bodyin thelagoon on 12/14/99. ***
true, bodyin, true, BUUUTTTT even the coaster geeks gotta rest sometime!!! lol!! and some people will actually stay away because they think "oh, jeeze, EVERYONE"S gonna be there"...kind of like how at SFGAm, the Fourth of July is actually a GOOD day to go. same thinking by the GP. remember, you have to think in terms of "lowest common denominator"...most people are not that clever or interested.but some people are sheep, unfortunately. they will go where the herds are, unless the sheepdog prevents them from doing so. there is a sheepdog in this situation...we just have to find a way to make it bark. i kind of think that the GP might stay away out of fear of it being too crowded and not wanting to pay all that money for only a few rides.

Servo, out of curosity, what other parks have you been to besides CP and SFGA?

-------------

i've been to both Disneys(i know, nothing to scream over) and SF in St. Louis. not very many, i know, but enough to know i like CP the best. what does it matter anyways? those two you mentioned are just the ones i go to the most. so they are MY point of reference. EXCUSE ME if i haven't BEEN to EVERY PARK On the face of the earth like all of you big spending hot-shots. you all act like if a person hasn't been to all of them (including GL) then that person is nothing. well, as far as i'm concerned, i love CP and THAT'S what this board is about. SO WHAT if i use my HOME PARK(SFGAm) for reference? i only go there about 10 times a year, where i only make it to CP twice if i'm lucky. for your information, the summer of 2002 i am taking a cross country trip to ride EVERY OPERATING COASTER IN THE USA. i just happen to love coasters and CP and if you have a PROBLEM with how many parks i have or haven't been to then too BAD!!!

Wooooooooooaaahhhh Servo!! I dont know how you got mad over me asking what other parks you have been to?! For 1. Your a new memeber, and on the last Cp place we had a topic that everyone listed other parks they have been too, and so I was curious about you. One of them reasons being that your are a girl from my hometown and since you go to SFGA alot, I thought maybe we could compared notes together on other coasters and parks we have been to! For 2. Those are the only parks I have seen you mention and was just wondering if you have been to others in the area, St Louis, Dells etc. For 3. I didnt know you have not been to alot of parks (as you stated) and there is nothing wrong with that, I would never belittle someone for not having gone to million parks, it doesnt matter who has been where, I just thought if we had stuff in common, we could have compared notes. For 4. Sorry if you took it the wrong way, but I didnt notice any smartalic words in the question I asked you. For 5. If you do have a problem with something you might have taken out of context, email me, dont bother CP place with it. Once again, Sorry if your feeling were hurt, had no intention on doing that! P.S The only reason I have been to so many parks is because my parents only moved me around the country about twice every year, not because I am rich! Quite the oposite!

sorry, babe. it just seemed like a snotty question for some reason. i think if you had elaborated a little more i wouldn't have taken it the wrong way. it just seems that lately the postings have become kind of "elitist" if you get my meaning and it REALLY sucks the fun right out of it. sorry if I hurt YOUR feelings :)!!! i think i just have been so stressed with work, school, X-mas and waiting for May that i don't realize what i am doing. but anyhoo, sorry again!!!

I thought that too. The problem is everyone I talk to says that that would be a perfect time to go and a planning on it (not everyone literally). I think they Millennium Force just mesmerizes them. GO TOWARDS THE FORCE.

-------------
Everyone will arrive at the park and look like a scene from Night of the Living Dead. Where all the zombies are walkig towards the house.

GO TOWARDS THE FORCE. The Q tv's might suck you in!
