I don't really remember the buffet much, but from going to famous dave's, I'll take their sampler (basically a mini-buffet) over just about anything...ribs (actually good), 6-8 wings, curly fries, chicken fingers, fish (real fish) sticks. And usually it's enough for both me and my wife, if not, we'll just drop another $5 for another side of something.
To be a complete newb, where is Friday's located? I guess the biggest reason I'll take Famous Dave's over "just about anything" is because if I'm by Blue Streak/Raptor, Famous Dave's is right there. It has had zero competition because it's the only place I know of within walking distance.

I came away from Famous Dave's unimpressed. It wasn't bad by any means, but perhaps my expectations were too high. Or maybe I just had bad luck.
When did you guys go? I know the one time I went closing weekend it was "meh" but that was because they were running out stock for the end of the season. Other times I've been there, its been good. Not great, but still better than anything in the park.

Fridays is located inside of hotel breakers, and there is also one at castaway bay as well.
Gracias amigo. I'll have to try them out, I like Famous Dave's but I think the last 3 times we've gone we've went there.
Yea...It's been hit or miss for me as well. But even the "miss" is better than anything they sell inside the park.
I do find the quality of the famous Daves out by my house, to be slightly better than the one at cp. Of course they are not nearly as buisy as the cp famous Daves eather.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I want to say that the sampler platter, 2 pops, a kids meal, and a kids pop was around $24. I couldn't imagine what a side of ribs, wings, catfish sticks, curly fries, chicken fingers, kids meal, and 3 pops would cost inside CP...my serious guess would be, $65?
We ate at the Perkins on the 26th. First we were going to Fridays but there was a half hour wait but it seemed like longer because there was a lot of people waiting. We ended up at Perkins, which was pretty dead. There were only about 4 families.
The menu was pretty bad. Nearly half the menu was for Senior Citizens. On the normal menu, most of the food seemed like it wouldn't be to good on a 90 degree day. Egg sandwiches or Salsbury Steak didn't sound too good for the park ;) I ended up asking if I could order grilled cheese off the Senior Menu. Hahah it wasn't bad but it was not good either. Just okay, and that's what a lot of people have said about it.

Perkins wasn't that great. I went there Memorial Day Weekend and there were many families with loud children there at 1030 AM. Food wasn't that great. The Perkins close to me was much better.
For anyone who visits Dorney Park they have a pretty awesome Perkins 1 mile down the road what has Elmo + Cookie Monster greeting people every Tuesday night. It is nice to go to when visiting Allentown.
