I think Toft's might supply the ice cream for Beaches and Cream.
My favorite place to get ice cream in the park is the place that is connected to "Los Gatos Cafe" near Maverick. It's actually frozen custard but it's very good. I think it's called "Engine #3" or something but I'm not really sure. I go there every time I go to the park.
You should try Johnny Rockets at CP, they have awesome burgers, I've eaten there several times, and I love them. For beer you can go to the Red Garter saloon, at least I believe they sell beer there. It's located just up from Old Time Photo, across from the MF exit area. Have Fun!

^^Time to put my Wisconsinite hat on, ahem.
That is NOT FROZEN CUSTARD and yes I know the sign says it is, but it is in fact soft serve ice cream. Frozen Custard is more dense, more creamy, and melts quicker. It also is scooped onto a cone, not pooped out directly by a machine onto a cone.
Sorry pet peeve of mine, heres the wiki articles (which are pretty correct)
Frozen Custard- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frozen_custard
Soft Serve Ice Cream- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_serve
I look for the midway or the firehouse frozen custard when I'm there. I guess it wouldn't be considered "true" frozen custard as it comes out of a soft serve machine, but it's still pretty good. And they have hot fudge sundaes back this year.
I've never been too impressed with Toft's.
Latest Crime: changing the Frontier Town ice cream to Dippin Dots. I always got good milkshakes there.
Best burger? Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Oh, wait, Cedar Point doesn't have one. (can you imagine the price if it did?)
Edit to say: Touchdown - I'm with ya! we were typing at the same time! Nothing better than real frozen custard. We would always stop at Cleveland's East Coast Original on our way out of Geauga. Here in Columbus our Ritters and others have closed, but we still have Culvers. (and Jeni's Slendid Ice Cream of course)
I'm the oldest one here. CP emp '73-'74
^I would agree that CP's soft serve is one of the better versions of that type of ice cream. Its also fairly cheap considering the other things at CP.
I like to get the tropical freeze I think it is called. It is a combination of slushy, ice cream, strawberries and bananas. It is not helpful when trying to fit on coasters but it is good. It is $5. It is at the engine house by the wave swinger.

After reading the menu for the Thirsty Pony, I think I'm convinced. I'll have to try them for the first time this year. Mostly I just don't get out of the park (or at least off the peninsula) for my meals.

We typically eat in the car, but yeah, I've always wanted to try Thirsty Pony, but had no idea what to expect. Next trip, I'm there. :)

Want a good burger, leave the park.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. Can I take your order?
(I can't be the only one with that running through his head every time this thread comes up)

^I was just thinking the same thing. Talk to Kenan & Kel if you want a good burger.

Johnny Rockets sucks. For everything. Overpriced, deep-fried crap.
I stopped eating beef years ago, so Friday's having a turkey burger is a plus. Unfortunately, what with the sucky service, last time they didn't have any. Their remedy was a fist full of free appetizer cards.

Has anyone eaten at Burger Patio lately? They used to be pretty good. Johnny Rocket's is pretty good too. The old coffee shop in the breakers had delicious burgers.
But seriously eating at Cedar Point really has gotten way too expensive. You cannot blame anyone for bringing their own food or trying to hold back the hunger pains until the park closes and head to McDonald's or something like that.

They still have the soft-serve ice cream in Frontier Town so I think they still make shakes there. The Dippin' Dots are in addition to the stuff they always had.

Yes, I also thought those were good burgers. Unfortunatly, the Coffee Shop only has a breakfast and dinner buffet now. The old burgers are gone, and if they do serve burgers they probably are similar to the Midway Market burgers, not anywhere near the quality of the "Three Cheeseburger".
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Ive recently been converted to Coasters thanks to their PP deal (free fries with the purchase of a burger.)
However, yesterday when I asked for a glass of water there I was told they were no longer giving out glasses, since they have a water fountain in the building. Which is fantastic when I want to have some water with my meal, I guess that I can just put my tray on the fountain and eat standing up if I want the luxury of having a drink at my seat now.
I may stop going there because of that, that is a moronic customer service decision. Just give me the clear cups that way if Im stupid enough to try and steal soda you can bust me quite quickly, and save yourself the $.05 cents I just cost you, some of us are honest and just want a glass of water!
Johnny Rockets inside the park isn't all that great, but when I've been to any outside CP, they are some of the best burgers anywhere. I regularly eat at the two down in Indianapolis when I'm down there, and they never fail to deliver a great burger. Most every one of their sandwiches is cooked to order on the grill. That's one thing I like about eating at the bar there, watching my burger get cooked.
I've never had a Coaster burger, but have heard they're decent. I usually just get a shake whenever I'm in coasters (best shakes in the park if you ask me). My favorite place to get a burger in the park has always been the Gristmill stand over by Snake River. I think they may actually grill their patties over an open flame, because I always see and taste char on my burgers there. Actually, there were many times I would rather go back to Gristmill and pay the high price for a burger there than pay $2.55 for one of the wet and less than stellar burgers in the employee cafe.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
welcome to good burger home of the good burger, can i take your order?
Just go to the race horse place.....Cedar Downs. Or Steak and Shake.....
OK so if your looking for the best burger it is hands down famous dave. I believe the ultimate bbq burger is ten dollars and comes with two sides. This burger fills me up. I usually eat one on saturdays on halloweekends. It keeps me full from about 3 till midnight and thats saying something because I am no string bean.
