What was new when you first visited CP?

Raptor in '94. Didn't ride anything that year, I was too short. When I was finally tall enough, Mantis was new and I rode everything I could.

1989 I was 4 years old. Magnum was new, I was tall enough to ride, I begged my mom to ride (she was scared), and we finally rode. Hands up the whole way too.

Uhh, you were 48 inches when you were 4? I was 9 when magnum opened, and that was the 1st year I was tall enough to ride adult coasters.

Sorry to burst your bubble Carnage, but they tried to convince me to ride Magnum when I was 5, besides Ralph Wiggum is not exactly someone you would consider short.

Race For The Sky.... at 120mph!

Frontier Carousel was one of the new attractions the year I visited CP for the first time...

1976, Corkscrew. We had moved to Sandusy earlier in the year. Sadly this ended our yearly trips to Idora Park and by the time I was old enough to drive to Youngstown she was closed.

THe newest coaster at CP when I went for the first time hwas Magnum. I wouldn't ride ANYTHING. Now, I'm willing to ride any coaster I can get to.

I own you!
97' was my first year, I believe. Nothing new that year. I suppose the closest "new" ride would have been Mantis, but I wasn't tall enough to ride.

Aww.....Florida! But That's America's Wang
I'll break out of lurker mode to add my mark on this one. My first visit to CP was in 1989 just after high school graduation -- the summer that Magnum was added. My second visit to CP was in 2000 = Millie.

In the past two years I've been there close to 100 times. It's amazing what moving to Sandusky can do for the frequency of CP visits!

84' was my first year, I think I was like 6 and the biggest ride I rode was White Water Landing. My first "real" visit was in 91' when the Mean Streak opened. I have gone to the point multiple times a year ever since.
First trip was in 93, i think Snake River Falls opened that year? But i didnt ride it, i did ride Blue Streak that year though!
My first CP trip was in 1989. I was only 4 and only rode kiddy rides. I remember it somewhat but my most memorable trip from my early years was in 94 when I rode Raptor. It was my first coaster at 9 years old.

The best coaster ever was brand spankin' new the first year I went to CP. 1989 Magnum XL-200!! I remember watching the commercials and insisting to my parents that I was going to go on that. Of course my bubble was burst when I found out you had to be 48" to ride. With me being 7 and only 45" tall, I was barely allowed onto Thunder Canyon(it was a really hot day, and we were standing in line for an hour or so, and the ride-op was nice enough to let me on). My first coaster at CP was Jr. Gemini...the only one I could ride. I suppose my parents were glad I was too short, no one in my family likes rollercoasters...I'm the only thrill seeker.

Metallica, Magnum and Mountain Dew, and finally turning 21...what could be better?

My first trip was in 2000 when Millie opened. I found out about it on the internet. I had just started to ride coasters and just had gone to BGW to ride Appallo's Chariot. I ran and got in line for Millie and waited 3 hours.
It was the water trapeze. Then on my next visit, it was the Switchback Railway.

Good times.

91' MEAN STREAK!!!! (that's why i'm so dissopointed about what's become of her. i.e. slow) We RAN the whole way thru the park as soon as we got there!! I stuided the park map on the bus to the park, and as soon as we were past the gates... SEE-YA'

-The best ski-trip ever! ...yeah, our middle school ski-club took us to CP for our last trip the year. Thank you Mr. Gyger!!!

520, 500+, 160. prepare.

My first year was last year (2002)! It's not really a park for attracting people from abraod, unless it's to work! I joined those people last year in Guest Services. The WT was new. They really should advertise in like the UK! All we've got is Alton Towers, which has nothing on CP!!
What about Blackpool Pleasure Beach? If I recall, the UK has several parks...maybe not huge coaster parks, but I'd love to visit them all.

I don't think CP is unheard of in the UK, at least not to the coaster enthusiasts there.

We do have Pleasure Beach, but it's not an entry fee park, or it wasn't the last time I was there! You have to pay per ride. Just like the one nearest to where I live. We have Amusement Parks, but, once you've gone CP nothing seems good ennough! My uncle has lived in Toledo since before I was born, and since I was about 7 has told me about CP! I've wanted to come since then, but Orlando was the only resort area that my parents would do since we could fill our entire fortnight vacation. I got my parents to visit me last year for a weekend, and they loved it.

Will: It's good to see you man.
Ross: Yeah, you too. Man, so-so what are you up to?
Will: I'm a commodities broker.
Ross: Really? Yeah that-that sounds interesting.
Will: Yeah, it's not. But I'm rich and thin.
