Wicked Twister....My first time in Ohio was that same year also....and i worked on it also...

to be really honest i hadn't even heard of Cedar Point until like three or four years ago. It just was not a "known" thing around here. But since i've worked there, most everyone around my small hometown knows of it now!

Man im the first to post with 1993, and the new ride was Snake River Falls. The pamplet showed a waterfall with a snake, and I remember it vivedly. I was seriously expecting to see a waterfall that you went over in a barrell of some sort, kinda like the stories of the Niagra Falls. As soon as we crossed the border into Ohio from Michigan I expected to see Magnum sticking up into the sky. When I realized you dont see it untill you are close, it does not bother you because I was too scared to ride it untill 1994. I havent stopped riding the new ones since. Since 93 I have only missed 1 season and that was 1998, Power Tower opening. I have gone more than once almost every year.
First time there was in 1994 'Raptor'. I was too small to ride Raptor though. My first coaster at Cedar Point was Iron Dragon.

The first new ride i remember being cognizant of was Avelanche Run, but i had been visiting for many years. But the first thing i thought of when reading this post was 1988, not only was it the year i had conquered my fears of coasters but i also remember the big sign informing guests of the big coaster to come the following season. That was the begining of my love affair with CP.
It was 93 for me i rode the water ride now where the raptor now sits the next year and i liked the water ride and then took it from me the next year i was terrified of raptor didnt ride it till 95

The first time I went to CP was when I was 12....I remember the first thing that I did. The first thing I did was go to thebathroom and change my pants cause I got so excited waiting in line that I peed my pants!! haha... That's something I'll never forget, wetting myself at age 12. :)
Same as old CPer, the Pirate Ride was new that year.
the parking lot. i was 5 years old. now i'm already 7. man, i'm already an old, old, man. I'm older than tim!
1983 Demon Drop. Spent most of the time in kid arthur's court though.
Twister I think, my first time to Cedar Point was last year, it's the most AWESOME place in the world. I will be back every year for the rest of my life, we already have reservations for August!
Hmm. I remember the first year of Magnum's reign, so 1989 is the first year that I can remember being there, I was 9 at the time. But my parents tell me that we all first went in 1987, when Iron Dragon opened.

My first visit was 1978. Gemini was new. My parents brought my grandparents to watch us. My sister and I rode the 2 hampton rides in front of Gemini for 2 hours while my parents waited for the 1 ride of the day on Gemini.

I remember my older sister begging to go on Jumbo Jet. I was probably about 6.

My first trip to Cedar Point was back in 1986 when I was 4. It's amazing how much I remember from the trip though. We went with my sisters and brothers' 4-H club. I remember quite a bit of the day's events, from enjoying the fairly new Berenstein Bear Country to going down the Sky Slide with my mom. I also remember being angry that I couldn't go on Cedar Downs. That year started our tradition of always riding the Mill Race first (until 94 that is).

1989 I was 4 years old. Magnum was new, I was tall enough to ride, I begged my mom to ride (she was scared), and we finally rode. Hands up the whole way too.

Uhh, you were 48 inches when you were 4? I was 9 when magnum opened, and that was the 1st year I was tall enough to ride adult coasters.

That isnt' that uncommon. You must have been a short kid. My first trip was when I was 4 and I was tall enough to ride Avalanche Run (46"). I also know that when we took my nephew 3 years ago, he was just 48" at age 5.

1990...what happened that year? Not much, oh, Soak City expanded that year. However, I have no memory of my visit- just too little to remember.

7/1/2002 - Wicked Twister had just opened. My favorite memory of that day was being scared of EVERYTHING. lol. My first coaster was Iron Dragon, and I about killed my friend's hand I squeezed so tight. She was just laughing at me.

I went once in the 80ties but i dont remember much. But in 1991 the new ride was mean streak and magnum was only 2 years old...I was so scared of that ride. How things have changed.
