Just curious... what kind of theme would you replace it with? I like to hear new ideas for things such as this.

A new theme would be cool. I don't know why more places don't do something with aliens, like the scary big eyed ones. I can think of some other cool ideas, but it's not really that it needs a new theme (though, it would be nice), it just needs to work with the space better. I've walked through and never passed a Screamster since the area is so wide open. I think the main issues lie within the pavilion area.
Maybe designate a path somehow, forcing you to go a certain way so you won't miss anything. The space needs adjusting.
I'm thinking they should go with puppies and kittens. We've already seen how scary clowns are, and now toys. So yeah, puppies and kittens. Maybe some rainbows and fairies too. Those could be really frightening. ;)

I actually find Fear Faire better than CarnEvil by a pretty hefty margin.
I went through Estates and Toy Factory Saturday. Both are really great but I tend to laugh than getting scared. The best part was that in Estates, one person jumped out and said "WHAA!! GO BLUE!! ALRIGHT!!" since he saw me with the 2009 Michigan student t-shirt. Was laughing from then on in the haunt.

Better yet, Mike... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v66dSin5Tlc :) Mind numbing stuff right there.
Anyways, Fear Faire could keep its theme and just get a better layout. Many have said you can easily walk through and have zero people come after you.
If it had to have a new theme I do like the alien idea. I'v always loved aliens! Why does it have to have a theme though? It could be generic with a different layout and be good too.

^That was good for a laugh. I bet it's a lot easier dressing puppies up like cats than the reverse.....

Later in that show he had a Michael Vick joke and they showed the puppies again. One of the few times I actually laughed watching Obrian.

I'd like to see a zombie/apocalypse style scarezone. Can never go wrong with a good zombie theme.:)

I was in an old, dilapidated and semi-abandoned warehouse complex pre-dawn yesterday, and the first thing I thought was what a great movie set or zombie themed scare zone the place would be. There was also one room inside the building that looked like it was straight out of the first Saw movie.

Did you make sure to find a good place to hide the body?
Did anybody notice if the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was up last weekend? I don't remember seeing him.

What happened to the Halloween songs like Werewolves of London, Flying Purple People Eater, Thriller, etc. They didn't play them last year either. Now it's just instrumental music that I don't even notice most of the time.
Also, where are the school busses this year. They used to have two of them, last year it was only one.

Thank you! Agreed...I was at the park this past Friday and Sunday, and the music put me so out of the mood of Halloweekends, and even more so, was commonly irritating. BLASTED Nickelback and like 60's instrumental amusement park music...it couldn't get much worse. The little things like this really matter for an overall experience. Grocery stores understand why music is so important...why can't CP?
I was with my sister, who hasn't visited the park in 7+ years, so I really wanted to impress her. She gave a very sarcastic "Wow this music is realllly pleasant." as we walked through Frontier Town to a deafening Nickelback - Hero. It was just awful. I really missed hearing all your stereotypical Halloween songs like Monster Mash, Thriller, etc.
Also, one of my favorite parts of the Sky Ride was the skeleton scene with the cabin that appeared to have fallen off the cable. I didn't see this anywhere, and it was sorely missed. Also, why not put the Wild Cat car flipped upside down by Wild Cat rather than Gemini.
Regardless of these things, there was still alot there to love, and the haunted house variety is the best the park has ever seen. Eerie Estate and Toy Factory had awesomely detailed props, but the most predictable scares (a few exceptions). Surprisingly, UR Dade got the most jumps and most positive reviews from our group that hadn't been there in years...I think because of a favorite, funhouse-type element that people seem to love...
At one point Saturday they started playing the music they play during the summer portion of the season. I haven't found the unlucky Sky Ride car 13 either.
That's very disappointing about the Halloween theme music... that does go a long way towards setting the vibe of the park.
Darn, KI was blasting the classic Halloween tunes all day on Sunday (and of course more creapy scary stuff on Fri night.) I was hoping that was a signal CP would be doing the same.
