Oh it was plenty busy, enough that I almost wish I hadn't bothered going. The lines were awful.
I got to soak city around 11:15, stayed there until 2, then went into the park, saw the lines and left

How long were the lines today? On Sunday it was 1.75 hour wait for MF, 1.5 for Maverick, never checked TTD, and Gatekeeper was about 30 minutes, but I was at GK around 7:30PM. While Gemini and Magnum were about 20 minutes each.

We go to the park around 1pm, planning to stay until about 5 because we had scout obligations for the eveningand needed to meet up with a family member who needed to borrow my car. Blue Streak's lines were at least half full, so was Corkscrew and Magnum. Gemini had a posted wait of 45 minutes and it looked pretty full back there. Mean Streak was half an hour at least. Back behind Pipe scream was full. We rode Cedar Downs, Himmalaya, Mean Streak and CP&LE Railroad and that was it. Three and a half hours for four rides and about 20 minutes in the arcades. We eneded up leaving the park by 4:30. There were way more cars there when we left than when we arrived.

I never have luck with GK. Every time I go to the park it is down. Still have yet to ride it. :(Really? I've never seen it down all day!
I don't get to go to CP that much. I go once a year pretty much. When I went in 2013, it was running all day and I decided to ride after dinner but it closed due to storms! Then when I went this year it was closed the whole day due to wind.
I as well was taken aback by the lines yesterday. Was there 3 til close. On the other hand, I was there on a Wednesday in May when the park was about empty. So I guess it evens out. As a ppass holder who has been doing mostly early entry, it was rough waiting in those lines!!
Wasn't paying attention to ert though since I was there with my daughter and she doesn't have a Platinum Pass.
Was yesterdays crowd just a fluke or is that normal? I would think everyone would be getting ready to go back to school, in fact some in Cleveland went back yesterday. Usually between mid-August and Labor day are the 2 best weeks to go. Everytime I went in those 2 weeks, the park was nearly empty.

How recent have you gone those two weeks? The past few years my experience has been that half the state of Michigan goes to the park at that time because they are still out of school. I think the park even runs special Michigan promos to bring them in. It got to the point where I stopped going as the lines were too long for me.

Last year, I went both of those weeks on a Tuesday and the wait times were minimal. The worst was about 30 minutes for MF, TTD and Maverick.
