me think someone is rushin the guess. ;)
i dought it will be a storm runner. I can't see cedar point putting in a coaster that already exists. this will be new.
:)
I think someone like warner Stengal needs to design an "outside" helix for like the end of a ride during low speeds so the forces are not too strong. That would truly be thrilling...
Or a dive-down cork screw for an inverted, similar to a pretzal loop but goes off to the side and is sideways/corkscrew like and of course smaller. That would be exciting!
First off "Hi!", I'm new to this forum, but I've lurked around for a bit. I'll try to watch my P's & Q's cause it seems people can get irritated with people that don't know everything about coasters. But I do have a quick question for ya'll...has there ever been a reclined coaster or a lay down (as in, on your stomach) coaster? Maybe it can't be done, but I was thinking that "Maverick" would be cool as one, especially being so close to ground. Just curious.
Yeah, "Not a CP" there is a lay down coaster (flying coaster). It started off quite a few years back and now that B&M have built a model their are more and more around. There is one just down the road at Geauga Lake called X-flight, but it is a Vekoma. As far as reclined... Not so sure...
^ I think he was referring to perhaps on your stomach, but the track is below you, as opposed to being above.
Did I get that right?

I'm just letting you know how it can be, babe. Some people are like killer bees in here: one stings you, then the others jump in to get you all at once (which isn't fair). But, for the most part, some are in here for the same reason as the rest of us: to have fun discussing the possibilities of this new ride.
Have fun!! :-)

Yep, that was what I was thinking. I think it would be like gliding-down-a-hill-on-your-sled type of feeling.
I hope this isnt a stupid ?.but whats going to happen when the point closes for the season are we still going to get updates from the sitie .Sorry i was just wondering what was going to happen.
Probably not as many. I'm sure Walt will get a couple chances to go take a look (lucky guy) but you won't see the almost daily coverage that we have now.

Probably not as often tommy. What we get will most likely be provided by the park, the webcam, and the funcoast cams.

I'm sure that Walt might know a little something. But, if he does- it's all in good fun & I'm sure he enjoys seeing his site blossom. If he doesn't know anything, then oh well.

I´m think that their (Walt & Jeff) good relationship with Cedar Points management means that they are trusted to keep a good secret. Guess that´s fair enough :) They are, in a way, ambassadors for the park - and they do a damn good job, if you ask me. Guide to the Point + Virtual Midway contributed to my determination to fly to the states and visit Cedar Point among other parks. And Cedar Point stole my heart by far.
But eehhh... back on topic now?
