What else will be new for 2010?,other than STR

Free soda would not only be unprofitable (compared to consumers paying $3.79 or whatever per fill at any spot they go to in the park or $3 at the vending machines), but increased garbage to take care of.

Not very unprofitable.

To fill at 32 ounce cup of Pepsi, the raw cost from Pepsi equals out to about 40 cents with (water, syrup, cup, lid, and straw)

You do the math.

^ Back to page 10 here. I want to respond to get to the point posts. Yeah I was hoping for paint job as well for Millennium Force. When Millennium Force opened, it was nice Royal Blue. Now it's probably purplish blue. The elements of the weather, the amount of times the trains go through the circuit really takes a toll on the tracks. I wouldn't say it looks horrible, but I do agree that it definitely needs a new paint job. Its funny how they decided to paint MaXair this year along with Snake River Falls. I bet next year is the year they decide to paint Millennium Force. I'm going to optimistic about that. :)

and hopefully fix the speed of the trains getting pumped through Millennium Force, becuase in recent years they do not let the next train go until the one before it has stopped. It takes much longer to get through that ride than it did years ago.

Millennium's interval is not based on the location of the train in motion, It is based on the position of the catch car. As the catch car comes back into the station is slows down to position itself. After it is in position the ride ops can clear it. Even if a Millennium train were to roll back on track a train could still be dispatched to the lift, it would just stop at the top, that is why you gain speed about 2/3 of the way up, the waiting block is now clear. Last year Millennium had a great crew and I'm really not sure you could dispatch trains quicker than they did.

2007: Millennium Force, Wildcat
2008: MIA
2009: Raptor
2010: Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, 3rd Shift Ride Maintence
2011: 3rd Shift Ride Maintence

I bet if Kinzel hadn't been foolish enough to agree to the merger deal with Apollo, that $6 million the company had to forfeit would have been way more than enough to paint MF.

Don't really have a point I'm trying to make. Just a thought that struck me.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

It's just kind of weird they are painting MaXair that doesn't need a paintjob. Why not contribute that money to a ride that actually needs it?

SRF does need it though, which to their credit they are doing.

It will be nice to see what SRF looks like with a fresh coat of paint because it has been looking pretty bad in recent years. Anyone think they'll mix the colors up? Maybe paint the supports brown to to help the ride fit in with the surrounding trees? Or just white again? Or an Iron Dragon or Wildcat paint job!

I think I speak for most when I say I hope it's not like a Iron Dragon or Wildcat paint job. ;)

I'm pretty sure they're just going to touch up the existing color. We'll just have to wait and see in the next update since, by then, they should have at least started painting.

In one of the str construction pictures, you can see the areas on snake river falls where they have primer.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Guests pass by & see Maxair's structure far, far more frequently than anyone sees MF's track, about 90% of which you can't even see up close. If they expect MF to last, say 60 years, then painting it every 12 years, as opposed to every 10 years, saves them 17% of their lifetime MF Paint Budget. Considering the amount of track and the inaccessibility of that track, I'd bet that 17% savings isn't terribly insignificant.

^Green space is never a waste of space.

I don't think anyone expected anything more than grass this year anyway.

I actually find that very encouraging. It's better than finding out a dip and dots and hotdog stand are going there. I think if it were something small they would just do it this year. If it's something big it would take a little more planning and development.

^Plus grass is the perfect place to put survey markers! :)

There's also lots of parking space just ripe for marking.;)

Give me a break, they can park in the back of the lot.:)

Not that I dont mind a rather large empty plot of land (grass) to the direct right of the main entrance after you enter a park ,, I think the parking lot looks good to ,,for some ride markings next year,,, It's kind of rare that they just let a large piece of land ,grass covered sit there for one season,, but we will see later this year with the paint colors on concrete

^Totally. This is CPs first "green" installation since Raptor!

^^It's not really that large of a piece of land to let sit there. I'm not really sure what people want done with it. This isn't the first time they have removed a ride to let the space sit empty for an entire season.
