What else is in Sandusky?

I love Margarittaville.  But then, I'm a big parrothead as well, so I love the Jimmy Buffet atmosphere

I wouldn't expect most kids to understand.

There are good resturants in Sandusky, as well as nice little shops.
Hey Don't we all OldCper?I know I do.
Yeah!  Why did they close that Denny's down on the way to Cedar Point. That would be the coolest to eat there again.I love Denny's. Does anyone know?

According to the owners, the place wasn't making any money. I've heard that the same group that owned that Denny's, however, had trouble making money with a number of other properties they owned throughout the state and country. The moral of the story: a Denny's at that location can be very profitable, if it's run by a good owner.

FWIW: There's been quite a bit of activity in the building of late and the "for sale" sign has been removed. Don't know what that means, if anything.

You know, I never understood that. How do you tank a Denny's? I mean, you expect the food to be average at best, the service will certainly suck, but if it's late, it's where you go. Cedar Point traffic might be seasonal, but it is on a US route and a state highway.

Do we really need Sandusky to turn into Wisconsin Dells?  How many water parks and minigulf places do ya need?
I think the retail choices could improve, also a good campground like the one at Herseypark, The one in Milan next to the tracks is ok, but kinda small and I wasnt impressed with the one on Cleveland road or the one next to 2.  Or better yet, make a "rustic" tent/pop up section at camper village.

just like 15 minutes away in port clinton is the african safari wildlife park, which is really fun.  also the prehistoric forest - mystery hill is out that way too, but it isn't as fun.
If you like racing there is Sandusky Speedway.

Then theres that Hauntville thing with their 3D maze.  Never went, heard it's a peice of crap.
Speaking of Hauntville, has anyone seen more than 2 cars there on any given night?  Even near halloween I saw maybe 10 at the most.  Maybe there was parking wher I couldn't see it.  I never went there becasue it looked rather crappy.

One thing I didn't realize, was that Jon Gruden was born in Sandusky. How cool is that. He's the new tampa bay bucs coach.
You can have pop-ups at Camper Village but not tents.  You wouldn't want to stay in a tent there anyway.  Anybody who has stayed in the Village during a rainy day or two can attest to the sever flooding that occurs there.

Your tent would end up floating out around Kelly's Island.
