What else is in Sandusky?

Perish the thought, but if I needed a break from Cedar Point, what else is there to do in Sandusky?  I remember seeing a Wal-Mart, but not much else.
Well with that, there's the question: What's there to do in Wal-Mart?

In Wal-mart, you can set all the alarm clocks to time intervals ten mintues apart, then watch the store clerks turn them off every ten minutes....  Hide in a clothes rack and when someone reaches to grab something say "Pick Me, Pick Me".  You can play with all the toys and ask customer service to page "Seymour Buts". Or you can ride the pennie kiddie rides at Meijer.
Anyways, back to the real topic here. ...
Barry, I don't know where you are from so I'm going to be general about this.  What is there to do in Sandusky.  Well, to be honest not much.  However, there is a small rather crappy mall.  There is some family fun places like goofy golf and some other place.  Plenty of Bars.  Some restaurants. but other than that, you would have to go to Port Clinton to go to the Islands.  There is another mall about 40 minutes to the east of Ssandusky on Route 2 in Elyria with some places around it (My actual home is about 5 minutes from that one).  There is Cleveland to the east and Toledo to the West.

Nonono, if you want retail entertainment, go to Meijer at approximately 4am.  Because of the lack of an extensive night-oriented culture, Meijer becomes the hangout for teenagers.  Meijer is up US 250 from Wal-Mart and will contain very weird people at that time.  I was a cashier there at 4am and also (at different times) was a very weird person there at 4am.  As a bonus, a Steak 'n' Shake sits adjacent to the entrance so if you have a hankering for a shake, that problem is solved.

Then at Meijer you can ride the penny rides forever right?

Uhhh, there's an indoor water park called the Great Bear Lodge...ring a bell? It's 4 stories tall, and is a 33,000 square ft.entertainment center.
I remember another fortune-telling place that used to be there along 250.  We went by a couple of years ago and it was out of business.

You'd figure she should have known...

The Mini-Golf and Go-Kart place you are thinking of is called Goofy Golf.
There is another mini-golf/go kart place further south on 250 that is much better than Goofy Golf.  Also, further south toward Norwalk there is an outlet mall.  In Norwalk, there is the Norwalk Raceway/dragstrip.  East on Route 2 you can visit Cheese Haven!

I remember seeing a crayon factory there..............
OldCPr, I think your talking about Sports City, which is across from Lowes.  However sports city is going bye bye, for a Home Depot in that spot. Rumor has it that a Old Navy, Olive Garden (boy I love that place), and some other store that slips my mind are coming to Sandusky too.   Oh yeah there's Tofts Ice cream to goto.

hey that fortune telling place is still open, i know from experience, i was hoping for a mallrats type fortune teller but ah well...is there really an Olive Garden coming to Sandusky? If so, they also need a Best Buy, I hate having to drive to Elyria for new cd's.

The only bad thing about that indoor waterpark at the Great Bear Lodge, is that you must be a guest to use it! Darn it!!!!  :(

Hey, Soak City is bigger and you do not need to be a hotel resident to get in.

Put-in-Bay is not far away. There is a lot to do in Put-In-Bay and its surrounding area.
