What does this mean for Terror Island?

Back in the day, CarnEvil was by JoeCool cafe. It was ultimately moved because of planet snoopy and more importantly allowing guests to leave through the beach gate without having the little ones in absolute fear! It was especially creepy backthere with all the smoke and one could get lost moving into the pillars under the stadium. Basically my point is that they basically could put it anywhere on any midway if they really wanted to. I would say somehwere around the mine ride or mean streak would be a cool area. Maybe starting at around the Mine Ride Entrance and having two exit points by the train crossing and somehwere by Maverick?

^I think any haunted attraction around Mean Streak or in the overflow queue area would do very well.

I was half kidding when I suggested that, but now that I think of it it would indeed be pretty cool.

It's definitely large enough, and mean streak isn't popular enough for that space to be of much use on most occasions, haha.

I agree also, but the only problem is i've seen the overflow queue be full on saturday's of Halloweekends before. Granted, it was a few years ago though.

Saturday Halloweekends are outragous! But the MS haunted house thing is a good idea :)

Ironically, that's one of the few times during the year that MS's inner queue actually gets used.

Cedar Point could always just add some temporary queue outside of Mean Streak's entrance if need be. Mean Streak's overflow could then be used for a new attractions queue.

How would more queue outside help? You need 2 seperate lines/entrances. Plus an exit for the haunt. The only way something like this would work (imo) is if you shut down the coaster like dorney does.

Not to mention that there's not a good alternative location for a queue outside of MS's infield.

Those are good points, but I was thinking they could make another small entrance under the wooden structure.

But where would you put it? That's the sticking point. As has been noted, MS's entire queue gets utilized during HW. There's no room.

It looks like there's room to me (http://blog.lib.umn.edu/biomdoc/access_services/mean_streak_01.jpg); they just need to zig-zag enough temporary metal queues snug up to the front facade of the ride.

If you want to make sure people can't get from the ride exit back to the rest of the park, then yes, there is enough room there.

You mean the ride's exit? :)

CP has been pretty crafty and aggressive when it comes to adding HW attractions. While it may be technically possible to shoehorn a HW attraction into MS's infield, it just wouldn't be practical.

That'll work too.

Being this is my first year going to Halloweekends, is there anywhere I can find a map layout of the attractions? I have no clue where all these places are you guys are talking about. I want to make sure I get to see them all. Thanks!

They will have park maps printed up specifically for Halloweekends that highlight where the Halloween attractions/shows are. Just make sure to look for one of those when you go through the gate.

It also seems that there is allready a pathway for vehicles on the north end of the infield. Im not sure if a concrete path could be wound around the outside of the ride structure to bring it back to MS's entrance. I also think that there is plenty of room between the ride exit and ride entrance to add temporary queues. You could probably even put the queues for the Haunted House itself outthere too. To solve the problem of having one entrance to both MS & the HH you could place a worker to send one line in, stop the other, and then send the opposite line in. I think if they really wanted to do this it could be done.

Thanks so very much!
