What do you miss the most?

i miss driving around the park, passed millenium force, all of the coasters with their bright paint, making them seem surreal. the running to millenium force in the morning, the first ride of the day.

Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription... is more cowbell!

Although I've ridden my NL Raptor track maybe 250 times or more this offseason, I miss that smell of garlic/candy/whatever-that-stuff-is that hits you as you come out of the loop....

I miss turning off the Monster lights at night, looking up at the shadow of Dragster streaking into space wondering if it will call any Aliens to CP. Ok maybe no ET's will come and I'm crazy, but's its a fun thought. I miss getting my bag and taking the paperwork to park op and saying goodnight to everyone in the office.

I miss going back home, crawling into bed, and what seems like 2 seconds later a new day. Get up go to work, say hello to everyone in the office, go back to Monster, turn her on, (no jokes now :)) start a new day. I miss hearing the complaints about Witches' Wheel new height requirement.

I miss the events that unfolded around Witches Wheel, around 5pm on August 16th, 2003. They sure tested my leadership ability. That was a good storm.

Yes I miss the rides in which I was in leadership of for 2 summers.

You think that was an event I had some nice little events going on behind my store and happening on corkscrew. :)

I miss the people, my crazy friends most of all, and (most of) my coworkers. I miss the girls from Ecuador, and the guy from Thailand I taught to dance the Hokey-Pokey, and the cool blue tags, and everyone. I miss sitting in the break areas and complaining. I miss standing on the gate in the morning and talking to the occasionally cool guests, I miss all the bizarre problems ("Um, Tyler? I accidentally lost a packet of used tickets on the Midway...") and I miss the free Pepsi I got when I worked the cashier booths. I miss my friends from Half-Court Hoops by the Demon Drop, I miss singing the Front Gate music even though it was our dearest wish to destroy every copy of that tape ever made, and I miss talking to the C.P. cops when the gates weren't busy even though the admissions crew wasn't technically allowed to associate with the gate cops. Most of all, I miss the after-hours fun: going into the park on my days off, hitting karaoke night at the Buffalo Wild Wings or letting my friends drag me to the X, or having those wonderful mini-adventures that are always hysterical when you look back on them. I miss the jokes, I miss the employee housing, I miss the drama-- the constant drama, which no one can escape no matter how hard they try. I even miss being covered in blacklight ink from the readmission stamps and trying to get people to figure out what "Inside your right wrist" means and explaining why I can't stamp their foreheads. I miss competing with the front gate girls for most people through the turnstyle and I miss exchanging anecdotes and life stories when the flow of guests slows down. I miss doubling the speed limit on the Causeway and getting stuck in the morning traffic jams, during which I'd get frustrated and start yelling "Get out of the way, people! I'm the one who lets you in the gate, how do you expect to get in without me!" I miss going on rides with my friends, and afterwards being unable to stand up straight and having to lean on a friend or two while we stumbled around and sang songs about medication and monkeys. Ah, those were the good times.
"Yeah, now this is my sancutary [Cedar Point]." -Denzel Washington

I miss the whole darn thing - everything.

I could go into more detail, but I would go on for about 2,000 words, and I don't have the time to do that right now. When I have the time, I'll write it down. I'll try to keep it below 300 words, but even that will be hard to do.

"Somebody help me, I'm being spontaneous!"

I miss the park before anyone is there, the morning breakfast with my boyfriend in the Cafe, walking around on a day off and knowing that this is your park, taking care of guests who are having a great day and enjoying themselves, talking to guests about the different rides, the park late at night, walking along the beach during a thunderstorm, knowing that you made someone's day better, just having a fun day at work, going to the warehouse, hearing the corkscrew run and watching dragster....

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

I miss the competetion on this site to see who has the most rides during the summer.
More than anything I missed being away from cp and this site all winter.

But now that my family got a place at lighthouse point down the street (4.5 miles to be exact) I wont have to worry too much about it anymore :)

While I spent a lot of time there there is a number of things that I miss and am going to miss about CP I miss the International girls, I miss all the storms that we got (seeing them come in on Mean Streak's platform was simply awe-inspiring) Having fun with the controls of certain rides. I also miss breaks in Stockade (hearing some of the more intersting stuff makes you have a new perspective on things). Ride nights, bus trips (other parks and Niagara Falls) and of course I will miss all the friends I have made and all the memories I have made as well. And oh yeah four words: Mean Streak Ride Night that was one of the best times I had working on that ride.
