According to this site, the new haunt (presumably in the new building by GateKepeer) will be called Hexed. This would explain the witch on the advertisements.

So if I am not mistaken, Cedar Point has gotten rid of a few haunted houses. The list on that website listed 5: Hexed, Zombie High School, Eden Musee Chamber of Horrors and Wax Museum; a nautical scare zone, Cut Throat Cove.
Last year I thought Cedar Point had a few more: Fear Faire, Zombie HS, G.A. Boecklings, Blood on the Bayou, Carnevil, and Screamworks. So either this website forgot to mention these two which is more likely or Cedar Point has replaced two of these and gotten rid of the rest.
Went through a bunch of tweets from the campout last night and came across one that said
@JennyFiedler16
@cedarpoint just gave us a preview for a new Halloweekend attraction! I got a
selfie with the witch! #CoasterCampout
Full tweet and pic can be found here
Can anyone from the campout shed some light on the details? Seems that this confirms a haunt with witches at this point.
Side note...why are they "selfies" when there is more than one person?!?

There's a difference between a "haunted house" and a "scare zone". That might be where the confusion is.
Haunted Houses: Eden Musee, Eternity Infirmary, Eerie Estate, and Zombie High School.
Scare Zones: Blood on the Bayou, CarnEvil, Cornstakers, Cut Throat Cove, Fear Faire and Screamworks.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Probably nothing. :) Halloweekends has been so popular and successful that it likely merits the addition of more attractions without replacing any. Although as you point out, any attraction which is removed is likely to be replaced by another.
Going forward it seems more likely that we will get more haunted attractions and potentially even less rides operating during Halloweekends.

It seems as though there was a lot more fog machine output years ago, and a lot more red gel covers over the lights throughout the park.
This really added to the eerie, spooky ambiance.
I'd like to see that back the way it used to be.
It would also be cool to see much more of the Thunder Canyon flume used for the corn maze.
1. Bring back the Trio of Terror. That actor was AMAZING!
2. Bring back the Overlord and get rid of the Witch. Also, move the entire ceremony back to the middle of the park rather than hiding it in the back.
3. Bring the Screamster Parade back.
4. Less fog in your face (because you can't see and could potentially get hurt or hurt a Screamster) and more fog along the ground.
5. Character development of the Screamsters and interaction with the guests. Screamworks has some amazing characters.
6. Send people through the zones and houses in groups, unless it is Screamworks or CarnEvil which are just walkthroughs.
7. Do something with the dinosaurs other than just leave them there.
8. More decorations.
9. More catering to Halloweekends when it is going on, to make you forget for a minute that you are CP (everything I see around the park is still CP themed and related).
And as someone else stated, not that CP execs will listen to the fan suggestions on this....they only care about the money they make and what they can do to improve the park for the typical operating season.
