it would be hard but if they took the only work on scare zone approach next year it can happen with not having to build a haunted house which takes more work

Are they starting to move haunts around from park to park? I see that Slaughterhouse is no longer at Knott's as it's last year was 2013 when I had made it out for Scary Farm. But now it is here at CP, at least the general idea anyhow. I know Knott's had the pig people as well.
Most of the time the theme is shared amongst the parks but not really the actual house itself. In the case of masks and/or makeup/costumes, they all buy from the same companies so that is why you will see what looks to be the same stuff at different parks.
I'm sure in most cases that is true. But was just curious since Knott's has completely scrapped everything from that theme if it then got trucked to Ohio or if they simply store it and revisit it later on.
They have a few more themes that would be cool to see added to CP.
Its possible that they could ship items but more likely everything was repurposed for other houses at Knott's. When it comes to props and scenic elements, the park will reuse them in a thousand different ways or store them for future use. Plus the cost to ship items is likely more than it is for Cedar Point to just purchase their own since the majority will be bought at yard sales and antique stores. The house itself (walls, flooring, etc) will be thrown out if needed and the rest will be reused in the future. The walls for the most part are built as "flats" just like on a movie set and are made to come apart and be reused, especially in the case of Knott's where many of their houses are removed and rebuilt each year unlike at Cedar Point where they keep most up all year long. The design/creative process could have changed since I last worked at the park but this is typically the way it is done across the industry (with Universal occasionally being the exception).
