What changes to the Halloweekends events would you like to see?

well as a guest and friend to some of the screamsters that is all I heard and saw it just seams like things are not as nice as say 2009, 2010,2011 and many guest miss the Overload and the big speech we love seeing the Screamster coming down the Midway and all the scarring going out to the different scare areas, that is all gone and as a guest it is sad to see the lack of excitement in the Screamsters face as they come out of the Ballroom they don't seam excited. That is what I see

^^ Can you give a few concrete examples about how the haunts differ from park to park?

I don't miss the overlord..

Seeing a guy in a cloak standing outside a random metal box with fog ad libbing a demonic voice..nope..Just like the Gatekeeper announcement..laaame.

I however do miss Happy Jacks, but I'll take the current beach area vs Happy Jacks.

And, oh... I'm not so sure I want more people to come...

I have been to many of them and just type in the different parks and look at the photo and the more details

I am a coaster enthusiast and have been coming to Cedar Point for 40 years and the other parts scare area seem to have a more personal touch and more money poured into them.Cedar Point is a family based park and they don't want to be to scary as many families are still in the park at night so they don't make Halloweekends scary. other parks have had Screamsters out during the day walking around the park no necessary scarring but out letting their presents known. Please understand Cedar Point Is the best park in the world and since former president is gone some much has happened. I mean no harm to offend anyone it is just my opinion and observations on what I have seen over the years and heard from employees.

I hope they aren't scarring anyone..I've been scarred for life enough times..

And I really don't care what Santa bought the Screamsters ;P

I have no idea what you are talking about. You're writing English, I'm pretty sure, but you're not making much sense of it. Snarkiness aside, if you put your thoughts out in a reasonably clear format (i.e. not one huge rambling paragraph) you might get better responses.

...ever time Cedar Point names something they bow down when someone complains, like Banshee for example CP had the name before and got rid of it now KI is using it.

Not only is this from 20 years ago, the very same company that "bowed down" is the one who chose to use the name at KI. Do you have any examples that are relevant?

Make it more scary at night and more will come.

I'm guessing you haven't been to HW in years. The park has absolutely NO issue getting people into the park in the fall.

I don't necessarily agree with those who think that the overall event needs to be more scary. I think CP does a nice job of embracing the "fun" part of Halloween with the overall tone of the event. What I do think they should consider is one or two more "mature" haunts that embrace the darker/scarier side of Halloween, and I think this could easily be done and isolated while maintaining the overall atmosphere/theme of the current event.

I go to Halloweekends every year and the asylum was changed because it offended people.I am there everyday from morning to night in the park so I do know what is going on.

And we're a site dedicated to everything Cedar Point.....so we TOO know what is going on. ;)

I feel like I'm reading a Golden Book on Halloweekends.

With having the outdoor zones open on Sunday it's hard to get enough workers who are able to work Sundays to staff everything. Even last year we had outdoor people fill in in the indoor haunts to make up for those that left.

With sending people in groups in the outdoor zones there are positives and negatives to it. Yeah it helps make the experience more intimate for the groups but also being outside when you split groups up you can then seen further down the path. By doing that you can see where some Screamsters are and can take away from a few scares by you already seeing and expecting them. Just letting everyone in at once creates groups of people in front of you that hide the other Screamsters and allow them to do different scares, like duck down and walk through the groups and pop up right in front of you. I personally like the free for all and send everyone in at once. But I may have a biased opinion on this.

11 years.

Halloweekends has always been hard to get people to work it my friends who are screamsters say the park just can't get anyone to work the halloweekends event but they also say cedar point does not advertise enough to get screamsters. It is so cool to see the screamsters work on scarring people and looks fun, I just can't believe more people would not want to do it.I have seen some of the best scares when the lines are packed with people.

I love cornstalkers, but I would like to see it turned into more of a maze if that's even possible. I know it is within Thunder Canyon and there is limited space between the concrete walls that make the 'canyon,' but I feel like they could go further back into the ride rather than ending it at the barn.

I would love to see the return of the pervasive, old-timey feeling theming than earmarked Halloweekends in the beginning. Some won't work any more, like the monsters drive in movie set before the laser screen, but things like the skeleton's beach that was near (I think) Magnum were very popular for atmosphere. The number of pumpkins, haystacks, and hay bales have been reduced by at least a factor of 5 from the early years, and the strolling atmosphere spirits have all but left the main midway. These made a real difference to the family demographic. I even miss the hokey space ship crash site, how much could that have cost to put up each year? Did they even put up the Camp Spooky or Ghoul Time Theater signs last year? Just because you cant count the number of people who walk past a display, doesn't mean it doesn't add to the overall experience, especially during the day.

^^ Are you talking about the spaceship on top of Johnny Rocket's with the aliens?

I'd like to see more fog. Seems like they've cut down on the amount of fog in just the past few years. I remember several years ago not even being able to see 2ft in front of me (and that is probably a safety reason as to why they don't do it). But it was awesome. The only time that seems to happen now is if it is a really damp evening.

Really? I guess I never paid close attention, and didn't notice the decline.
