Web Cam Activity and Testing..Oh My!

Hmmmm. The cams seem to be down again. Must mean they're testing

CP's whole web site is down for me.

that whole maybe they're testing because the cameras are down is getting old guys... It's clear that if they didn't want people to see the progress on the ride they wouldn't put up cameras in the first place.

Now, it's possible they are testing... and the cameras happen to be down, but thats not the reason why.

You're not really missing anything. I REALLY hope the reason for this downtime is that they could be updating the site. Maybe a newer and better look. But i doubt it, probably just some technical difficulties.

I hate to churn the rumor mill,but remember when they first ran Millennium Force? The webcam was off then too,when I posted about it, Jeff himself said "they wouldn't want the webcam on if in the middle of the first run an accident occured sending Intamin coaster cars flying all over the Frontier Midway" I may have missed a few words from the exact quote,but that is exactly to the point what he sid to me. Yes,this could be downtime and looks like some sort of server error,but they do have a history up there of turning off the webcam for the first test runs. Not sure if they did it on WT but they did on MF,I remember it well.

Do you think they will put a webcam on top of Dragster looking down at the queue and launch?

Web Cam is back up and working....but no activity! :(

They didnt shut off the webcams for WT testing. The webcams never went down in this period of Cp's website being down. If you would Bother to READ other threads, The direct links were posted the direct links were posted to the webcams. I dont recall jeff ever saying that, But i'm not so sure if he did or not. Anyway, They take precautions before they test to make sure nothing bad happens..

Big D, I did read other threads, but thats not the point. The point is that the web cams were down every time I tried to see them...so when they finally worked, I was happy!

I never said the WT cams were down during testing,I said they were down for the first few runs of MF.

Does anyone see the lights in the middle of the Power Tower webcam.....? Are they still painting Mantis? I thought they were done with the paint job.

O.k. is it just my computer or do the webcams stop working right after 5:00 because I just tried to open them up and they still come up but they are not pictures from 9:07 instead it's "an archived photo from today". Can someone please explain?

those lights would be over by Iron Dragon...have no idea why they are on....we do have less than a month before the thing is open though
