Wait for the front: A trial run

Went to the park yesterday and the new "selected seating" policy was in effect. We waited about twenty minutes for the front seat the first time (well worth it!) and two extra trains for the back seat the second time. The rest of the station is still basically "first come, first ride" style though.

I think I'd rather have it the old way, because sometimes you just luck out and get the front with the same wait as everyone else. With this new policy, we have to wait much longer, and I don't want to wait longer especially when im trying to get 15 min re-rides in the morning
Yesterday I waited about 40 MINUTES for the front. It was worth it though.

Does anyone have a method to the madness? How long does it take if the queue for the front is totally full?

If the queue is totally full, it takes about 45 minutes. The cool thing is the last 15 minutes you can watch how the lift works. I sure hope they continue this, the last part of the queue does look permanent!

On the other hand I don't think MF's crew like it that much. When Majin Heero and I told the ride op at the counter (forgot the real name) that we wanted to wait for the front, he gave us a really bad look, and mentally throw us over to the the queue.

I dont like the idea because last year I got the front a lot and now I'm going to have to wait for it...
I was at the Point last Sunday. Thanks to this system I was able to ride the very front for the first time. It was about an extra 25 minute wait on top of the 45 minute wait to get into the station. It was completely worth it! I'am a fan of the back seat on almost all coasters. Not MF! The front is without a doubdt the best spot to be. You actually get more airtime in the front than in the back and there is nothing quite like staring almost straight down that first drop! 5 trips on the Force, 3 times in front and 2 times in the very back. This system is the best IMO.

Also, if you dont pick the front or the back they make you go to the front of the train and work their way down to the end of the train. So you really dont pick where you want to go at all this year if you dont go to the front or back.
