This may seem like a dumb question, but here it goes. How are they going to be able to keep the track on top of the concrete key hole towers for Gatekeeper? I'm referring to the key hole towers here. Are there going to be supports inside those key hole towers?
I believe Dangler said B&M is building the keyholes as the supports themselves, instead of using supports covered in steel or concrete.
It's only going to be concrete 20 or so feet up, then the rest of the keyhole structure is actually part of the supports for the ride. At least that's what I've remembered hearing.
Ya I remember hearing that they went to B&M and asked if they could built towers that were supports themselves.

If I remember it had to do with safety and B&M wanting the park to be able to check the ride every morning.
They do, but I'm assuming B&M feels more comfortable building a structure that they know will be easy to inspect through
Its also a lot easier to install as well as maintain

No trees were harmed in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
I am really liking how close to the ground the track keeps going. That should really add excitement to the ride.
Plus the supports are going to be really close, how many head/leg choppers are on this ride?
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
I'm not sure. I know one thing's for sure. Some of us may duck our heads a couple times the first time riding. By the way, does anyone know if they finished the corkscrew today? I was able to sneak on my co-workers computer today and noticed they had the top part done. Did they finish the whole corkscrew?
A little off topic, but did cedar point delete the "ok ok....." facebook page? It doesn't come up in the facebook address box anymore and I can't find it on the web either.
Ya it looks like it was deleted.
