In addition to that, did anyone look back at the rendering of the towers? Wouldn't you know, the towers are going exactly where they are in the rendering. AND the turnstiles are going underneath.
The old turnstile structure will likely be torn down at a later date. I still don't get the obsession with it.

I think people can believe whatever they want. I am under the impression that the main gate is staying and the new keyholes will be incorporated into the entrance. Usually all demolition takes place before new construction. The rendering means nothing to me (go look at Maverick and Snake River Falls rendering)
There's really no point in arguing about it- but, until I see the Main Gate come down--- I will be of the belief that it's going nowhere. Do you not agree that it would be a whole lot easier to remove the main gate before brand new track, supports and footers are less than 20 feet away from what you are trying to remove? This is why they removed the ticket booths over a month ago.... why not do it all at once?
^^The main point is that the entrance was not on the demolition list as of that moment. It seems the ticket booth removal fit into the construction schedule and would also give construction equipment a bit more ease to move around.
Plus, I don't see the reasoning behind the whole "once the steel goes up, they can't do anything to the entrance" idea. There's going to be a good sized area where smaller construction equipment (backhoes and excavators) can zoom in between the towers and take the building apart. It's not exactly impossible and is entire plausible with regards to a construction schedule.
There's still plenty of time to get the steel up and get the entrance out with plenty of room to do it. Would it have been easier to remove it first? For sure. But we don't exactly know how their construction schedule timeline is setup. But with multiple sources (the big one being Mr.Dangler) saying that the new structure will have the turnstiles under it. So it seems safe to assume that they know what they're doing and plan to work around the steel to get the entrance removed.

HersheyPark only has a very small entrance. I think there are only 4 ticket/pass scanners and one off to the side as an overflow. It works very well. I think the whole view of the Cedar Point will be amazing as you approach the front keyholes without the stucco turnstiles there. The current Entrance could still be there as a security issue...just my thought.
Sorry for the mess. Signature under construction.
Tilt-a-whirl, the main gate is coming down. The guest services buildings that are on the side of the main entrance ARE staying. The head of construction himself told me that. He also said that Gatekeeper track will be up over the keyholes hopefully by February 1st. The group sales and season pass center that is about twenty feet in front of the main entrance is getting renovated.
I also found out that Gatekeeper trains will be lit up, but they still do not know how they are going to set up lighting on the actual ride. The queue line for Gatekeeper is going to start in front of Gatekeeper to the far left by the station (which already has supports), and then it will go underneath the first turn out of the station, and when it gets here it will split into two lines. One line will be to sit on the left of the track, and one to the right. The layout of the queue line is what I just said, but the theme of it still hasn't been decided. There will be a regular fence on the far side of Gatekeeper that separates it from the beach, similar to the fence surrounding Wicked Twister.
Like I said on another Forum:
I can tell you that most of the fixtures are LED. The track, pendent, recessed and globe lights are all LED. Other than that flourescent and halogen on the rest. The track lighting is going to be Bruck Lighting in a Matte Chrome and the Pendent light which is made by JESCO Lighitng is going to have a Cobalt Blue shade.

This view gives you a different angle that makes it a little more clear. From that view the supports don't look close to the Camelback but from the front gate camera they do
