I am surprised that they didn't start the lift hill yet.

They assembled the first A-frame support for the lift. I would imagine the intention is to put that in place, then attach the first sections of track.

Surprised or "very" surprised......which is it Kyle? ;)

The first two sections of track for the first "heavy lift" were staged and assembled on the perimeter road yesterday and today. Did the Sandusky area have high winds today?

Archives show that winds weren't too crazy in Sandusky. But, as we all know, that could have been an entirely different story on the peninsula. I suspect them assembling the first lift support at the end of the day was a result of waiting. But perhaps they were still adding stuff to the lift hill sections and couldn't get everything installed in time to erect any pieces.

It's all just guesses of course. Either they'll put stuff up tomorrow or they won't.

I can tell this off season is going to be a long one. As a construction manager myself, let Adena do the work. There are reasons for delays other than high winds.

Haha yeah sorry, I had extremely slow internet and it was messing me up.

Slow internet or extremely slow internet? ;-)

I saw them assembling the lift stairs and support section today. The more assembly they can do at ground level, the better.

It looks like that lift section was erected today. I wouldn't have believed it but there is a pic from the webcam on this TPR Cedar Point forum page that seems to indicate that it is true.

I would post the pic here but I'm on mobile.

I tried checking in on the cams a few times today and it was always too foggy to see anything.

Here's a better picture that was posted very quietly to Instagram today:

Wow that looks steep, but still awesome!

I think it was announced that Valravn would have a 47º lift.

Tony also said it is 47º in a periscope Q&A

Looks pretty steep already! Has it gone up any more lately? I've been at work.

Today they started assembling the next section of supports for the lift. I'm not sure if they will go vertical tomorrow or Thursday. They will be approaching the 200' mark with the next section.

They just finished putting up the next section of lift hill supports, and even without the lift hill track in place, this coaster is really starting to look massive! The size of the dive coaster track and supports become very evident when a worker is standing right next to it. Valravn is looking awesome!

Does anyone know or have a good guess at what the height is as of right now?

Based on this rendering:

I'd say around 200ft or close to it.

What is going in where they are digging the concrete up near the skyride station? It looks like there isnt going to be much walking room left through there. Is the coaster coming that far out into the existing midway?
