Here are some photos from 9/9. Jason sent them on Saturday, but I'm just now getting a chance to get them up. Included are some nice wide shots to give an idea on how the ride is looking from various points in Frontiertown, along with Perimeter Road prep work.

I'm thinking they were referring to the double launch.

Why is there "prep work" going on on Perimeter Road? Are they widening it?

It will be interesting to see how much Maverick will change the look and feel of Frontiertown. I think the days of the sleepy little backwater are done. It's kind of a shame in a way, but I'll certainly take the trade-off for what should be a world-class ride.
I remember when Shoot-The-Rapids first opened, people used to run from the train to get in line for the ride. Sort of a mini running of the bulls. There was a lot of excitment in Frontier Town during that time, and as you say Ensign, it will probably return.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
