Here are some photos from 9/9. Jason sent them on Saturday, but I'm just now getting a chance to get them up. Included are some nice wide shots to give an idea on how the ride is looking from various points in Frontiertown, along with Perimeter Road prep work.

It will be interesting to see how much Maverick will change the look and feel of Frontiertown. I think the days of the sleepy little backwater are done. It's kind of a shame in a way, but I'll certainly take the trade-off for what should be a world-class ride.

Why is there "prep work" going on on Perimeter Road? Are they widening it?

I can see in the future, maybe a water type ride looping in and out and around the track work of Marverick. Since the mountain, canon theming is there, they could use that to their benefit to make an a better WWL!!

I remember when Shoot-The-Rapids first opened, people used to run from the train to get in line for the ride. Sort of a mini running of the bulls. There was a lot of excitment in Frontier Town during that time, and as you say Ensign, it will probably return.

I am not a play by play type person, but did anyone notice on the webcam they put the top of the hill up today and put a flag on top of it.. Kinda cool....
