Update: September 16

That was a nice picture too. Must have had perfect timing with MF going over the hill.

I got stopped on Magnum's lift because of some person had a camera out. They take those thing seriously.

It happens a lot, and kudos to the Magnum crew, who I know have taken action a number of times this year.

What's the bummer? Sure everyone was freaking out when the train stopped, but I had a pretty good time. An extra five minutes with a great view of the park. :)

It happened on Skyhawk one time. It was on it's 3rd swing when it came to a hault. And right there on blue side, second arm was a man with a camera. He kind of had a funny look on his face when the ride stopped, kind of like "I wonder why it's stopping??"

Made me think of that phrase from Carlos Mencia; de de deeee!!:)

Yeah, anytime we see someone pull out a camera during the ride, we stop the cycle. Fun times! ;)

To be fair, I think it should be allowed on the Giant Wheel and Sky Ride, though I can understand why it's not.

I'm guessing its not allowed on those rides because you can drop the camera on people below. Then someone would sue the park saying they permitted people to use cameras. Gotta love the litigious society we live in.

Yeah, bird droppings on the head is worse as it is....and I'd especially hate anything a tad denser than bird droppings to be hitting my head from that height.:)

Yes a camera would hurt. The question is, say you somehow catch this nice $200+ camera or a new iPod lets say. Would many people turn it in?

It's to bad, but I know I'd be the one bringing it to lost and found.

I dont think that new Ipod or nice $200 camera is going to be looking very new or very nice after striking a persons head from that height.:)

Haha, yeah I was just going to say, that you'd probably need a bag to carry all those pieces in, Craig. :)

Knowing from experience, it certainly does...

So how long were you out of it?;)

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

Well, it wasn't exactly falling from the Sky Ride as much as it was coming from someone a few rows in front of me on Magnum, but the affects were ultimately similar... :)

Those iPods are pretty solid, but I get the point. I don't understand why anyone would take that chance anyway. Cameras aren't cheap, and if you happen to have a cheap one, no one wants to see that picture anyway. :)

For some reason, this is the first update that has really excited me. It could be the combination of school starting and me really missing CP, I'm not sure. I'm so ready for this thing, I'd go right now if it was built already.

Very nice pictures, I also like the pool reflection ones!

This may be the first time I'm actually there in May.... :) :)

Ah, and the dude next to me in my Cisco class is all gone weird because of me fixating over this ride all class ;) *** Edited 9/18/2006 1:26:08 PM UTC by topthrilldragster4lyf***

The argument of falling objects from those aforementioned rides technically can be used with the rides allowing such photography. If someone wanted to, they could throw a camera...I know that sounds anal, possibly stupid, but weirder things have happened. (just playing devils advocate)

Not that I disagree with the park's policy, and in fact, I agree with Walt, those rides should allow it too...nothing compares to pictures taken above the park...

Owner, Gould Photography.

You can't sue the park for a guest throwing a camera at someone. Well, I guess you could, but I doubt you'd win. I CAN see someone winning a lawsuit resulting from a camera falling from a ride that permitted photography such as Sky Ride or Giant Wheel though. If the Space Spiral was open-air, you wouldn't be allowed to take photographs from that either.

It's going to take them longer to build the extras than the actual ride.
