Hey - those things are either poles or pipes, and the red caps are there so that the workers don't drive into them with machinery or equipment.

Jerreus, I hate to flame you man but for the 100th time, those markings are for the placement of the support, in relation to where it goes on the ride. If you look at all the pics they show that each support has a different number on it.

Huh?

After reading your post 16 times, I think I figured out that you still don't believe that those pipes don't mean jack.

If you pay attention to where they are "attached", you'll see that they are right over one of the pieces that the supports will be fastened to the footer. They aren't connected to anything, and they don't lead anywhere.

2 questions/thoughts

  1. When did MF's vertical construction start?
  2. Since Dragster's vertical construction started around the end of August (I think) and since this ride will hopefully be a little longer than Dragster, shouldn't vertical construction start earlier? Also take into account that Dragster was rushed to be finished in time for the 03' opening day. I figure that since so much track has arrived so early, and cement pouring started well before the 06' opening day, we should see vertical construction start by the end of July or earlier.

JUST A THOUGHT

For some reason I'm beginning to think this may be a twin/racing coaster. It seems like all of the footers come in pairs...who knows.

Most supports come in pairs as well. ;)

I will start by deciphering that last post for everyone. What he meant was....

Ok then, why do the footers near WWL's old station not have the poles on them? I think i'm right on this one, but we'll have to wait and see. I tried to put a picture on my last post but it wouldn't let me or I did it wrong. I still think i'm right.

The reason the footers over by WWL's old station do not have poles on them is because noone is driving by them. The grey pieces of PVC with red tape are solely used as markers. Nothing else.

If we're talking about the old WWL footers, it's probably because they don't care whether or not they get damaged.

The one thing I'm sure of now is that the old water "trough" of WWL is going to stay. I have no idea why those old footings are still there, but we'll see I guess. But, they built a dirt "bridge" over the trough, so its pretty obvious to me that it will stay with water in it.
